Garrett Reynolds of Toms River, N.J. won the BMX park finals Sunday at the Wendy's Invitational, during a fierce and close competition for the top spot on the podium. The win marks Reynolds' first victory at a Dew Tour event. Reynolds, with a score of 91.38, pulled out a narrow win against Greenville, N.C.-native Dave Mirra and defending Dew Cup champion Daniel Dhers, of Venezuela. Mirra and Dhers finished second and third respectively, both securing a top score of 91.00*.
"I have no idea how I won, but I had a good time out there," said Reynolds. "Dave and Dhers killed it so I thought I was done. I can't believe I'm up here in first place."

Reynolds' run included a truckdriver invert over the box, and Dhers responded with a flawless tuck no-hander 720. Mirra, who came off a first-place win at the previous Dew Tour stop, threw out a 360 no-handed back flip and a 540 tailwhip on the quarterpipe to trail Reynolds at a close second.

Great Britain-native, Jamie Bestwick, took the second consecutive BMX vert win of the season on Saturday at the Dew Tour's Wendy's Invitational.
On his path to becoming the BMX Vert Dew Cup champion for the fifth consecutive year, Jamie Bestwick earned a first-place score of 93.75 with a run that included an alley oop downside tailwhip. Gilroy, Calif.-native Chad Kagy pulled a flair double whip as part of his second-place finish that earned a 92.00. Triple threat Steven McCann of Australia finished in third with a score of 90.25. 

Out of a field of 50 BMX riders, Kevin Teets won the BMX park competition Saturday at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour's stop in Columbus, Ohio. Twenty one-year-old Teets from Ashville, Ohio earned the BMX park victory at Flow Skatepark after executing a front flip and a bomb drop to barspin off the 20' wall ride during his winning run. Nicholi Rogatkin was second and Vincent Smith finished in third place. "I'm so psyched I finally won and am going to the Finals in SLC," Teets said. "Third Gatorade Free Flow Tour contest was definitely a charm for me!"
