The Zambrero BMX bowl battle was an epic event. Great vibe, great riding and great spectators, everything needed to make an epic BMX competition. Thanks to Zambrero the top 4 pro riders shared $2000 prize money. There were prizes galore from our supporters as well and we want to thank them heaps, Colony BMX, Sneaky Wholefoods, Local BMX, Cult Crew and Division Brand as well as the Groundswell Festival dropped in some rad prizes as well. Every competitor went home with heaps of products.
The Zambrero BMX bowl battle was so rad with the level of riding from the beginner to the pros, it was so awesome to see. There were many different riding styles all interacting with the Scarborough Beach bowl. There were a few disappointed beginners who wanted to enter but were yet to be able to either drop in or get out of the bowl or both. There were a few beginners who had only just dropped in the day before they were that keen to enter. This was great to see the younger riders wanting to push themselves to ride such a mammoth bowl.

Finally BMX events are regaining traction and this trend continued over the weekend, as Swiss Cycling together with Freestyle Park Ticino hosted the 2021 Swiss Freestyle BMX Championships. The event took place at the Freestyle Park Ticino in Cadenazzo, a FISE standard park built by Hurricane in 2019 which takes no prisoners and boasts a good mix of big jumps, transfers, but also a smaller street-style section. The finals kicked off with the ladies, where we saw the inclusion of WCMX (wheelchair motocross) athlete Lorraine Truong. After a super stylish first run with a good mix of creative rotations, laybacks and lines, she decided to pull out all the stops for her second run and start by dropping in on the big vert ramp, definitely one of the highlights of the event.
After two stops in Le Havre and Canet-en-Roussillon, the French Urban Sports tour wrapped its 2021 season in Reims.
WOMEN: With her wide range of tricks and the biggest flow of the Women contest, Nikita Ducarroz take the Gold ahead Jana Muradova (NED) and Julie Plousey (FRA).
MEN: An international start list, a crowd on fire massed in front of the Porte de Mars fully captivated by the level of the last final ensured a lit end of season for the FISE Xperience Reims.
Different styles of riding, as much focused on bangers as on aerial lines, ensured to make the most of
