The 18th edition of the NL Contest by Caisse d'Epargne - Urban Sport & Art Festival, which was held from May 17 to 19 at the Skatepark de la Rotonde in Strasbourg, has just ended. An opus under the sign of adaptability, disrupted by the changing climatic conditions over the weekend. Nevertheless, the organization of the international festival worked hard to maintain its entire program: the competitions, amateur and professional, but also the concert by the emblematic French group Sniper, which was more than memorable. More than 400 athletes and artists, 250 volunteers as well as 35,000 festival-goers responded to the call for this edition.
Despite the weather, the 18th edition of the NL Contest was marked by determination, unwavering

In the BMX Best Trick competition, 29-year-old Ryan Williams from Sunshine Coast, Australia, soared above the competition to claim first place with a face-melting trick.
From May 8-12, FISE World Montpellier attracted some of the world’s premier action sports athletes to the banks of the Lez River for competitions in BMX, scooter, parkour, roller skate, and skateboard disciplines.
In the BMX Park Final, Monster Energy’s Anthony Jeanjean dropped in as a favorite after a series of high-profile wins, including first place at the Converse ULT.X event in South Africa in March. But he also came to Montpellier with a score to settle after the victory eluded him when he finished in close second place last year.

The first one took place in 1990 just after the opening of the new dirt spot at the Valkendijk in Aarle-Rixtel. 34 years later and the Sugar Hills Trails are still there, same location and the place of the annual Mini-FATJAM. Although it would have been easy to call it quits after so many editions, it is great to see riders show up to ride dirt for a day. Many of them hardly ever ride dirt. Many of them hardly ever ride. Many of them now show up with their kids to ride. Many people just show up to hang out and have a beer.
The Mini FATJAM isn't a high class competition, it's a gathering of BMX fans or maybe you can better call it a reunion. Thanks to support from companies like TSG and Vans and Paul's Boutique BMX Hardware store
