Hilliard, Ohio – April 3, 2006. Hyper Bicycles is serious about their commitment to the National Bicycle League (NBL) and to BMX racing, signing on as the ‘Official Bicycle of the NBL’ for yet another year. This marks the 3rd consecutive year that Hyper has joined forces with the NBL forging an even stronger relationship to promote their quality brand of BMX bikes and components. In addition to their line of BMX race bikes, Hyper will also promote their ‘Hyper X-Games’ Motobike at select National Series events. 

Kronik Energy BMX team riders KC Badger, Ryan Sher, Sean Sexton, Greg Litecky, [url=//fatbmx.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1387]Hoang Tran[/url], Lino Gonzalez, Jeshua Constantine, [url=//fatbmx.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1334]Steve Woodward[/url] and team manager Tyler Coleman held an autograph session April 1 at the world famous Black Mountain BMX track in Phoenix, AZ. The autograph session took place during the 2006 ABA Winter Nationals. Newly added team riders [url=//fatbmx.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1357]Aaron Ross[/url] and Mark Mulville were also in attendance. Each team member inked their signatures on specially made Kronik Energy pin- ups that were unique to each rider.

Philadelphia, PA – April 3, 2006 – Todd Lyons made an extra special trip to Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans last month. Lyons’s mission was to donate over 20 bikes to a newly rebuilt Parks & Rec. center in the hardest of hit areas: The Ninth Ward. The Ninth Ward in New Orleans was one of the neighborhoods that was flooded for weeks with over 10 feet of water. All of the kids in the area lost everything. They lost their homes, their toys, their schools, their parks and even their bikes. A week earlier, the park was still completely destroyed.

Vince Primel and BlackJack are organizing a trail jam in France. This is the second edition. Here's a little explanation of how the jam goes:  The Jam is held on true trails with lots of lines. Registration for the jam will start online.We're having 3 to 4 groups of 30/40 riders. Each group rides 2 times for 45 minutes per day. It's a 2 day event (6 - 7 May 2006). 4 judges will watch all the riding both days and at the end of the weekend they will announce the winners. There will be free lunch for the riders, unlimited fruit (apples, bananas, organges) and water.

It's possible to register through the website: www.trailpeoplejam.bmxinfo.com.  It's in French but the English version will be up soon. It's also the place where you can find all info you need and you get a good feeling of what the jam is all about. We welcome international riders. 

Hey there bmxers of the world. This is your chance to get the ramp setup of your dreams in your own backyard or city. Matt Bischoff and Nate Wessel are searching for a location for the next Red Bull Backyard Build off. The build off will consist of 3 teams of some of the best ramp builders. Each team will compete against each other by building the best ramp set up in a 3 day time period. At the end of 3 days some of the top pro bmx riders in the world come together for a jam style contest to compete against each other and also judge which ramp builders built the best set up. This is where you come in. Do you know someone who deserves an amazing ramp set up in their yard? Do you think your bmx scene stands out? We want your submissions to bring this contest to you. We want to know why you think you deserve this in your backyard and in your town. -Suzuki BMXMasters 2006 will take place in July
One month later than usual – from July 21 to 23, with a duration of three days, the BMXMasters will again take place in the Cologne Youthpark. We are looking forward to spectecular runs in the disciplines Flatland, Street, Miniramp, Vert and Dirt. Furthermore, we are glad to have the Braun Spine ramp back in Cologne - the Braun cruZer Tour will held a stop at the BMXMasters. Several top-class riders have already yet confirmed their attendance. Rick Thorne has given up BMX. Sick of all the comments he received he made a switch to playing golf.

It might not be fully "Hollywood" or "Rockstar" but at least Thorne can chill out a bit. His black clothes are out the window but he couldn't quite give up the black hat yet.

The weather has been terrible lately but the Sugar Hills trails are looking sharp. There's no puddle to be seen and all jumps are shaped. Those who expect to see mud will be disappointed, the trails proved once again that they can take a rain shower or two. Thanks to all the locals for digging.
