The Papendal World Cup BMX SX race has officially kicked off with a well needed practice session. Tired of sitting around the riders took it to the track trying to master each and every section before the racing cuts loose. We did not see everyone on the track yet. The strong wind made it hard to clear all of the jumps. During the session we spotted a few things that we'd like to show you in the following photos. From half link chains to Meybos, from long rear ends to pink shoes, from Powerbands to broken bones. Lots going on at Papendal.

Psykopath Elite rider Christopher Mireles from Jalisco, Mexico won Gold at the National Olympiad 2011 in Toluca, Mexico State. Mexico has its own Games before the actual Olympics.
Chris has been training hard for a bmx berth to represent his country in London 2012. We here at Psykopath are proud of Chris and fully support his Olympic quest.

Over the last four weeks we did four competitions on FATBMX to help promote the UCI BMX World Cup race in cooperation with BMX Holland. The right answers on the four questions were:

Over in Valmiera, Latvia construction is on its way for another BMX Supercross track starting hill. Bigger starting hills mean more speed for bigger gaps. 3rd round of "BMX Grand Prix Latvia"(UCI cat.5 ) will be as pre-Worlds for Junior and Elite men. First straight will be exact replica of Copenhagens track. Come over to prepare, get some UCI points and cover part of flight tickets with some money.

Registration is open now and the registration deadline extended for all riders planning to compete at the 2011 UCI BMX World Championships and Challenge scheduled for July 25-31 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The registration deadline has been extended to May 27. Qualified riders who hold a valid USA Cycling International BMX license can register online through their “My USA Cycling” account.
