First, I would like to thank you for your support of me and my company over the years. From humble beginnings as a teenager, I started as a rider and designer and created Haro Bikes. After Haro Bikes, I continued to participate in BMX through Olympic collaborations with Nike in 2008 and 2012, the London Olympics in 2012, marquee events with Red Bull, and collaborations with some of the most iconic brands in sport, like Vans, Redline, BMX Action, Oakley, SE Bikes, JT Racing, Honda, Yamaha, Ducati, and many more.
My passion for BMX has never wavered, and I’m proud to introduce my new BMX brand, IKONIX. While my roots are in the ’70s and ’80s, as a contemporary designer, I wanted to create something new and innovative. The IKONIX FS1 is not a re-pop of past designs—it’s a look forward. It’s fresh, modern, rideable, performance-focused and loaded with details.
My vision for IKONIX is to build a new BMX brand that is steeped in my history and design ethos: high in quality and limited in numbers.
The FS1 represents the first of many exceptional products I plan to offer. I hope you can join me as
Ben Crockett, former BMX Plus editor and lifelong rider, just released a gritty debut novel rooted in the spirit of mid-90s BMX culture and LA street life. Set in 1994 Los Angeles, the story follows a crew of kids who escape the chaos above by riding through the city's underground washaways — until rival street crews and something eerie lurking below turn their summer into a fight for survival. It’s The Goonies meets Mid90s, with real LA grit and a sharp edge only someone who lived it could write.
Ben spent over two decades as a writer and photographer immersed in riding, exploring, and storytelling. His debut brings that raw authenticity to the page.
Regardless of size, every city has its mysteries. In 1994, Los Angeles has more than 22,000 miles of maintained roads and freeways, a wall of civil engineering, rushing west from the deserts and spilling over into the Pacific. Mapped down to the smallest alley, it’s hard to believe it has any secrets left, but under its bustling streets, a dark labyrinth remains; thousands of miles of subterranean wash ways, carved from the landscape before the city itself, and long forgotten.
For one brave, yet unlikely group of friends, the tunnels are a source of mischief and adventure, but they are about to find out what happens when their conflicts above, clash with the inexplicable below. The underground maze they had mastered was their fortress against the outside world, but where will they run when they find out they aren’t alone in the darkness?
I’m hyped to announce there’s gonna be a Flatland Jam right here in my hometown of Hammond on the same day as the world premiere of my documentary, The Road Home!
We’re throwing down an all-day session jam with riders coming in from all over—no official contest, just straight-up riding, good vibes, and community. I’ll be handing out $1,000 in Flatland Fuel gift cardsand giving out 10 awards for riders who kill it in different categories throughout the day.
I’ve already talked to a bunch of you behind the scenes, and I’m seriously stoked that so many of you are making the trip.
But the main event… That’s happening that night—the world premiere of my documentary “The Road Home” at the Columbia Theatre. This film is my life’s story, and nothing would mean more than packing the house with all of you who’ve been a part of this journey. Let’s make history and sell out the theater for the first time ever.
Save the date: September 20th. Let’s ride, connect, and celebrate together right here in Hammond. I can’t wait to see you all.
More info coming soon on close hotels, The after party, and how to reserve your seat in the theater.

Back in 1990 the Sugar Hills came to life. It's also when we started the Mini FATJAM. That's 35 years ago and the annual jam is going stronger than ever. The trails are prepared and offer something for everyone. 5 year olds join the dirt session with the veterans and everyone in between. If you are looking for a challenge, the KILLER JUMP is there. So get loose and send it on that big thing.
This year's edition is special as we are celebrating Paul's Boutique BMX's 30 years anniversary. Good chance we will have some beers and burgers, so join in even if riding dirt is not in the cards this time. The Mini FATJAM is about getting together for a good time anyway. For some that's riding all day, for others it's chilling, shooting the shit and drinking brewski's.
The dirt jam at the Sugar Hills Trails starts at 13:00hr and will end around 18:00hr. and can be found at the Valkendijk in Aarle-Rixtel, Netherlands. Group picture: 15:30hr if you want to be in it. Goodies? Sure. Music? Of course. Extra activities? We will see....
The night will continue at OJA-Aarle-Rixtel for the official Mini FATJAM Afterparty (Schoolstraat 2, Aarle-Rixtel). Free entry, cheap beer. Pretty unique these days.
