Cape Town brought the energy this weekend as riders hit the Crosswind Pump Track for the 2025 South African Qualifier—and the action did not disappoint. In the women’s final, South Africa’s Miyanda Maseti claimed the top step with a sharp time of 20.612, edging out Khothalang Leuta from Lesotho, who’s been going from strength to strength and clocked 20.864 in the big final. Jessi Nixon took third after a consistent day of racing, and Ingrid Youell closed out the top four.
The men’s final was full-gas from start to finish, with Chile’s Sebastian Mendez laying down a blistering 17.978 to take the win. South Africa’s Andrew Posthumus kept the home crowd fired up with a strong second place finish in 18.419, while Doran Mathewson and Michard Meets rounded out the top spots.
Massive thanks to the pump track family for showing up and showing off with all the gees, grit, and good vibes. From the first start to final lap—it was all heart out there.

What an incredible day at the Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier in the picturesque town of Ainsa, Spain! The sun was shining, and the weather couldn't have been better for the riders and the amazing crowds who came out to support them. This event saw a fantastic mix of talent with competitors from Slovakia, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, and Sweden, showcasing their skills on the track. The diversity was evident not just in nationality but in age as well, with the youngest rider at 17 and the oldest at a remarkable 73!
The Women's category was fiercely contested, but it was Kristína MADARÁSOVÁ who emerged victorious with an outstanding performance on her MTB this time around, clocking the fastest time of
Area 47 hosted the LCQ for the 2023 UCI Pump Track World Championships. The indoor pump track facility will welcome the qualified riders from all over the world on 18 November. The Last Chance Qualifier was the last opportunity to be part of the event in 10 days' time. It was a pretty stacked field of riders for the LCQ and a massive thanks to the riders that already secured their tickets to the UCI World Final for taking it easy today.
Tanguy GRANDJEAN and Kristína NOVÁKOVÁ took the win in their respective categories in solid form to line up on November 18th for the big showdown. Fastest times for the day belonged to UCI World Champ Christa von Niederhaeusern in 13.985 and Tristan Borel in 12.749 secs.
So much rain Belgium! For the first time the Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championship qualifiers had to pull results based off the qualifying times for the final results. Never underestimate those qualifying times. Niels Bensink did it in a time of 21.965 in blazing form and secures his ticket to the Red Bull UCI World Championships Final in Chile in November (all that pump track building must be paying off) a second place for Didi van Tiggel in a time of 22.423 and a third for current UCI Pump Track World Champ Eddy Clerté in 22.428
Danielle Vrenegoor did it in the Women’s Category to secure her place in Santiago with a second place for Sanne Winters. Shout out to Bodi Turner and Wade Turner all the way from Australia for 5th and 6th place.
