Paris, Texas! That was HOT, both in temperature and racing! A fierce battle between Shealen Reno and former UCI World Champ Payton Ridenour ensued all day long with Reno one upping every time that Ridenour laid down with Shealen would take the top qualifying place.
The Big Final had both those riders in one final showdown. By the halfway mark it was too close to tell who was in the lead but the second half of the lap showed Payton super focussed and mistake free and the win and that ticket went to Ridenour by just .205 of a second.

Progression is key in BMX, how do you consider trying something new every time? Do you complete the trick in your head and then send it? Kieran Reilly: I find I feel like I’ve had a better session if I’ve learned something or at least pushed outside my comfort zone and so that motivates me to be constantly trying new things, I usually just have
Today the last spots for tomorrow's Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships will be given out. The Velosolutions pump track next to the iconic bridge in Lisbon (yes, next to the skatepark) is the terrain for the 2021 battle for the UCI rainbow jerseys in Men and Women. The set-up is pretty unreal. Leave it up to Red Bull to go all in and show the participants a good time.
In case you're wondering where the live feed will be, find the info on Red Bull TV but we'll keep you posted right here on FATBMX with pics, results, etc. Don't forget to follow us on social media for the inside scoop. After multiple laps on the course at the end of the day it was Switzerland's
A bunch of Freestyle riders made it to Eindhoven last weekend as a loose competition was happening on the BigAirBag. It more or less was a free session for entertainment and practically anyone could join the session to see what it's like to jump an airbag set-up. Pim v.d. Bos had built the take-off and Nicky v.d. Veen makes sure the BigAirBag is working. It's good news BMX-ers stay involved in a different shape or form to further develop BMX. The riders were stoked with the soft(er) landing and the Pump Track event had a way of entertainment and participation. When the session was done and dusted it was up to Daniel Wedemeijer, Nick van der Veen and Levi Weidmann to throw down some real tricks on the set-up. The crowd got to see 360-backflips, fronties, turndown flips etc. from Daniel, flipwhips, flips, 3-inverts from Nicky, and 720-s, 360 bar-to bar and flips from Levi.
The session afterwards continued with Sem Kok sending 360 turndowns to the moon, Denz van Laare flipping gaps for the first time and others simply sending it until the airbag was unplugged. Only Dennis Keunen would have sent it at that point but he was not there.
We posted some pics on our Instagram account (@fatbmx) but had some more photos left that we did not want to go to waste. Enjoy.
