It has been along time since I have been to a contest in Europe. The one thing that I remember is that they are some of the most fun events that I have been to. The Urbaines-Vibrations contest in Pessac, France was indeed a great time. What makes these events so awesome? The formula is simple; great riding + an awesome course + a loud crowd + good organizing + random naked dudes running around + beer + a fantastic vibe = one hell of a good time. That’s exactly what we got at this event. The first thing to go on was dirt, which was rained out the second day so qualifying was counted as the finals. The jumps consisted of a step down style roll-in and then three sets. Simple, yet fun. It looked like everyone got comfortable with the jumps right away. The top three guys went like this; Josh Perry got third with a tailwhip drop at the start into some smooth combos like a barspin to tuck no-hander and a barspin to tailwhip. 
Last Saturday the 040 Revival jam was held in Eindhoven. It was the first time that the ramps at The Building on Strijp-S were open to ride. Invitations had been sent out to the riders and the turnout was massive. It rained all day and it gets dark around 5pm so if it's possible to ride somewhere indoors, you better take that opportunity. Over 100 riders showed up from all areas and they gladly paid their 5 Euro entry fee to Pim van den Bos who was out himself because of his broken ankle. Pim and his dad have been

BMX never seems to stop, or maybe the internet gets us in touch with events that take place week in and week out. For instance the 4th Revolcon contest of this year that took place in Guadelajara, Mexico last weekend. Already on FATBMX today. And with riders like Tobias Wicke, Senad Grosic, Rooftop and Daniel Dhers present it became an international round. 10.000 loud Mexicans in the stands saw the riders shred the park course. The last stage of BMX Series by Eastpak - BMX Freestyle National Championship, happened in the 24 and 25 days of October in Santarém - Festival Bike. 70 Signed riders gave their best to raise the last points in game. Beside of the best national riders, some international riders showed up, increasing level and the show! Saturday was eliminator day, beginners and amateurs. There were no time for pro eliminatory, but we had a little peak of what we would expect in the next day!
