The following is from Bubba Harris:  "On Monday July 21st, I was released from Redline Bicycles. With my injuries and recent surgery, I was unable to fulfill my obligations under the current contract.
After 8 years with Redline I want to thank them for everything they've done for me. I wish all my teammates the best in the future and will always consider them my teammates. As for me, I will be back and stronger than ever.........you haven't seen the last of me.

With the ABA BMX season in full swing and each event being such a HUGE success, we though it was time to take a look at who's in the ABA BMX points lead for the ABA BMX National #1Title chases. The excitement level has been very high, the talent has been very deep, and the pressure has been unbelievable for everyone. With that being said, here's a look at who's leading the ABA BMX National #1 Title chases in all eight catagories for "THE CUPS" and a band new fuel injected Suzuki RMZ-450!

The American Bicycle Association hosted the Summer Nationals in Roseville, CA. The OAK CREEK BMX Facility is main stay on the ABA BMX tour and has a long standing history with the racers and fans alike. This year saw the return of the ABA BMX PRO Series event to Roseville BMX and the racing at the Summer National event was SMOKIN' HOT! Redline Bicycles has always been up for task when it comes to making BMX history. As maker of the first tubular fork and crank, the first chromoly frame and first double-clamp stem, the Redline name was permanently inked in to the BMX history books a long time ago. 

Actual Journal Entry February 1, 1997: I did my 2 “straight down” downhill runs in the morning. My top speed was 65.37 MPH. I got 19th place, but only the top 15 qualified. I was only 1.5 MPH away from qualifying. I did my runs in my underwear (my own skinsuit!) and that’s all I was wearing. I didn’t wear any pads except for my knee brace. Funny! The ESPN people got kind of mad at me. Oh wells.

I went back to our condo & changed into normal clothes & then met up with Steve Peat (UK MTB pro) & others & went back up the mountain & watched some other events & drank some beer. At night, we went to a sports bar & watched the X-Games on TV & then to another bar with all of the athletes. These mountain bike people are kind of square. Definitely not as fun as the normal X-Games with all the BMXers. 

Cycling Australia named the 5 BMX cyclists it intends to nominate to the Australian Olympic Committee for selection in the Australian team for the 2008 Olympic Games to contest the BMX cycling event in Beijing.

Crupi's Scott Erwood is currently training at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California in preparation for his trials race on July 12th. This race will determine which of Canada's best pros will represent Canada in the Olympics. Scott has a terrific chance at being Canada's top rider for the Olympics and we are very proud of Scott and all of his accomplishments this past season. The Cobb County BMX Facility is main stay on the ABA BMX tour and has a long standing history with the racers and fans alike.This year the return of the ABA BMX PRO Series event to Cobb County BMX and the racing at the Dixieland National event was real barn burner. The Cobb County BMX crew really stepped it up and had the facility in tip top shape and ready to race. This was the sixth PRO Series event of the season and the PRO Riders were excited to head down south for good ol' southern hospitality.
With the 2008 Olympic debut for BMX racing coming up quick, and the first USA BMX Team being chosen, (BIG CONGRATS go out to Kyle Bennett, Mikey Day, "DR" Donny Robinson, and Jill Kintner for being the first ever BMX athletes to represent USA in the 2008 Olympics!) the buzz, the hype, and the media are all around. Many of the sports top athletes from around the world were on hand to take a shot at getting some much needed points towards the ABA BMX titles.
