Once a product has been designed it takes a little while before it’s packaged and on the shelve of your local bike shop. Prototyping, tooling, manufacturing, shipping and testing, it’s all part of the production process. Team riders and their friends usually take care of the final testing of a newly designed product so you might take a closer look at the team riders’ bikes next time you see them. It might just have some unknown parts on it.

-Road Fools is scheduled to hit the road sometime in April ‘08. This is going to be a good ‘ole fashioned all street trip presented once again by our friends at Levi’s. The crew is starting to come together as we speak and will be announced shortly, and we will be traveling somewhere in the southern half of the United States.

Piers Leigh is trying to organise a campaign to get a skatepark built in one of his local parks. He created a website that has a petition for local people to register their interest, a campaign to choose local kids as campaign representatives, a discussion forum and a residents' comments link. We believe that the more spots the better so visit the site and read about Piers' plans.
The AST Dew Tour, the world’s premier season-long action sports tour, today announced that Wendy’s has signed a multi-year deal as the new event title sponsor for the third stop of the AST Dew Tour, the Wendy’s Invitational, in Portland, Oregon. As title sponsor Wendy’s will receive tour-wide exclusivity in the restaurant category. Wendy’s also will receive fully integrated marketing benefits, including television ads on NBC and USA Network, online and on-site exposure as well as inclusion in the Tour’s multi-million dollar marketing campaign.
It's nice to keep up with BMX worldwide and 2020 magazine fills us in on the latest BMX happenings over there in Australia. 2020 covers the jams, the contests and makes sure that everyone is up to date on the latest BMX news and products. Issue 26 has Sam on the cover and the shot was taken in New Zealand. For us it's easy to think that it's the same country since it's over there Down Under but I'm sure people get pissed off by that. Still, it's BMX and Kiwi's and Aussies do get along (which should be the case).
