With the 2009 coming to an end, the riders from Formula Europe are finishing their last races before enjoying a well-deserved rest and starting preparation for the 2010 BMX Season. Rihards Veide is showing he's ready to move up to the Elite Category next season. In Besnato (Italy), he won the opening Time Trial of the 3rd International BMX Fast Cross against several European Top Elite riders. In Saturday's race he took a solid second behind former World Champ Arturs Matisons and in front of Vice European Elite Champ

Next to the FISE contest the Vibrations Urbaines is one of the biggest BMX festivals of the year in France. This year all the comps will take place indoors. That includes flatland, park/street and dirt. Olivier Morineau is the organizer and he will turn the Pessac town upside down on the weekend of 31 Oct/1November.

Ten Pack Distribution and Element 51 are proud to announce the BMX Pepsi Pro/Am Contest on Saturday October 24 from 10:00am-9:00pm at Le TAZ Skatepark in Montreal, QC. There will be 50 ams competing for tons of great prizes from a great list of sponsors and 50 pros competing for a cash purse. Amateurs will receive prizes from Animal, Demolition, Duo, Eclat, Federal, Kink, MacNeil, Verde, Volume, Wethepeople and Oakley. The pro purse will be broken down as follows:
1st: $1000
2nd: $600
3rd: $400
4th: $200
5th: $100

The race for the coveted Dew Cup is on its final leg, and the best action sports athletes in the world will be after it at the fifth and final stop of the 2009 Dew Tour. The Dew Tour returns to Orlando for the fifth consecutive year for the PlayStation® Pro, held October 15-18 at Amway Arena.

The four-day event will feature BMX and skateboarding competitions, freestyle motocross, the Dew Cup awards ceremony and a live performance from rapper Flo Rida to close out the season.

Over 140 of the best action sports athletes in the world will be in Orlando to compete, including BMX legend Dave Mirra (BMX park), Florida-native Adam Taylor (skateboard vert), and four-time defending Dew Cup champion Jamie Bestwick (BMX vert). Four winners from the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals, the official amateur series of the Dew Tour, will compete against the pros in Orlando in skateboard park, skateboard vert, BMX park and BMX vert disciplines.
