With World Cups Manchester and Papendal as first peak part of the season, the weeks after Papendal were all about training. We spent a lot of hours on the BMX track and did some heavy gym and other training sessions. It were tiring weeks, but I felt good and strong and knew with some rest I would be good to go for Berlin. 2 weeks after Papendal we had 2 Euro League races in Klazienaveen, Netherlands, this weekend was the first starting the Olympic Points Qualification for Rio 2016 for countries.I felt good, practice went well and I was ready for the races. I was unlucky in the 1st moto on Saturday, clipping out just before the 2nd jump and crashed. With 2 thick and stiff knees I was able to ride and fight my way into semi finals. There I was in good position going into the first turn, when I decided to take the inside lane and pass World Champ Liam Phillips, I turned too tight and crashed again. Really disappointing to crash twice and miss the final, because I knew I was good enough to achive a good result. On Sunday the knees were too stiff and painful to give full power.

For the first time in BMX Supercross history the fastest BMX riders on earth traveled to Berlin, Germany for a World Cup round. In 'on and off' weather conditions it was a challenge to get the race finished up as the rain put some delay on the original program. Round three of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup wrapped up on Saturday with the Supercross finals in which Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./Haro Bicycles) had the best result for Team USA with a fourth-place finish. The day was plagued with bad weather and long rain delays which resulted in less-than-optimal track conditions.MEN
After the motos, four Americans moved onto the quarterfinals.

The amazing Mellowpark in Berlin, Germany is the location of the third round of the 2014 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series. Friday, 120 men and 35 women raced for a qualifying spot for Saturday's main program while the top 16 qualified men and top 8 qualified women raced the Supercross Time Trials finals. Under changing weather conditions the day got underway with the qualifying motos. The third round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup got underway on Friday with its first-ever stop in Berlin. Taking center stage for the day were the Time Trial Superfinals in which Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill./Factory GT) and Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif.) rode onto the podium. Australian Caroline Buchanan won the time trial contest after clocking a time of 31.952. Stancil was the second fastest with a time of 33.049 while Crain was third in 33.319.In the men's competition, the top American was Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./Haro Bicycles) in fifth place with a time of 38.425. Taking the win for the day was Edzus Tremanis (LAT) with a 37.776 while Yoshitaku Nagasako (JPN) and Joris Daudet (FRA) were second and third. Also competing for Team USA were Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./Chase-Monster) in 12th, Jared Garcia (Victorville, Calif.) in 15th, and Barry Nobles (Sun City, Calif./DK Bicycles) in 16th.
