USA BMX and PULL Magazine are proud to announce the hiring of Jason "Shooter" McGuire as its new Editor and Photographer for the monthly membership magazine. As an avid BMX racer and accomplished freelance commercial and BMX photographer, Jason is joining USA BMX from Boise, ID. After a couple of years spent in Minneapolis, MN working in the world of Commercial Advertising, Jason was ready for a move back into his old BMX stomping grounds and gladly jumped on the opportunity to join the USA BMX team as our new Editor and Photographer.

Jason received his degree in Photographic Communications from Northwest College and while mainly focusing on his portfolio 

UCI and Global SX Events Inc. regretfully informs that the 4th leg of the 2013 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, scheduled for 6-7 September 2013 in Abbotsford BC (Canada), has been cancelled by the local organizer, Cycling BC. “Cycling BC has forged ahead on the National and International scene in BMX over the past few years but with recent structural changes within the organization and with substantial financial difficulties, we are unable to support a BMX Supercross World Cup at this time” said Cycling BC in a statement to the UCI.

London Olympic track builders, Clark and Kent Contractors, have been signed to build the track for this year’s UCI BMX World Championships in Auckland. World Championships Event Director, Jane Patterson said the organisation is delighted to have secured the services of the British company who earned such acclaim for the track in London. The championships on 24-28 July will be held in Vector Arena in downtown Auckland.

When you look at it there are quite some BMX magazines out there. It probably isn't always the easiest task to get the advertising money in, but the enthusiasm of the people behind the magazines is big enough to make it work issue after issue. Well the dust had finally settled from the first 2 rounds of the Australian BMX National Series and it was now time for the 3rd and 4th round in sunny Perth. All the DK riders had been training hard during the 3 week break and were ready to lay down some rubber. With our newest signing Rachel Jones (Junior Elite Woman) ready to have her first race in the green and black, there was going to be some exciting times for the team.

A few questions going around the pit area were, could Anthony Dean, Aaron Nottle and Matt White back up their wins from Nerang and take out the top spots in Perth? The answer to that was YES they could.
