USA Cycling conducted at its headquarters its first two-day Sport Committee Summit, which was the initial meeting of the sports’ representatives under USA Cycling’s new governance structure. Seven Sport Committees comprising a total of 46 members representing Road, Track, Mountain Bike, Cyclo-cross, BMX, Professional Road and Collegiate participated in a general session to discuss USA Cycling’s vision and strategic plan followed by individual Sport Committee meetings.
In the new governance structure, one of the initial points of business for each Sport Committee was to elect a representative to the USA Cycling Board of Directors. Most of the Sport Committee members elected to the USA Cycling Board of Directors previously served on the board. The following individuals were elected to the USA Cycling Board of Directors:
