Together with USA BMX Foundation, USA BMX - the world’s largest BMX racing organization - announces its partnership with Mongoose to bring their educational programming into schools across the country. Each one of these programs focuses on STEM education through hands-on, project-based learning concepts. Students are learning new ways of seeing science, technology, engineering, and math all through the lens of a BMX bike. More than 225,000 students will be reached in 2019 as a direct result of this collaboration with Mongoose.
“I am from the generation where the name Mongoose is iconic,” said USA BMX Foundation’s Executive Director, Mike Duvarney. “Partnering with such a legendary brand will allow us to reach more schools
Mongoose recently wrapped up a trip to South Africa based around two dope jams / comps- Night Harvest in Cape Town, and Ultimate X at the Sun City Resort, which is located near Johannesburg. Greg Illingworth, Paul Ryan, Pat Casey and Ben Wallace took in the incredible Cape Town sights, abundance of wildlife, and good times at both events.
Paul Ryan took a weekend trip to Copenhagen, Germany to see what kind of riding spots they had to offer. He found some gems that Matty Lambert captured perfectly on his camera. This is a great fast paced video that will make you want to book your ticket now.
We had the pleasure to get Pat Casey, Ben Wallace, Tom Isted and Brayden Barrett-Hay few days before the Fise World in Montpellier, so here is a chill video about riding a while around Lyon, and Sérignan.
Mongoose en Costa Rica Part 2 is filled with top-notch riding from Kevin Peraza, Pat Casey, Ben Wallace, Tom Isted, Greg Illingworth and Paul Ryan. Watch as they hit concrete parks all over Costa Rica with some street clips sprinkled in. The trip is capped off with a demo at Kenneth Tencio's park, 10Cio during its grand opening.
In a sport mainly dominated by male athletes, Nikita Ducarroz has risen to great heights not only athletically but professionally as well. Ducarroz has a special skill not only on her bike but when it comes to business as well. Social media has become a very popular way for action sports athletes to promote their careers. Ducarroz has become very talented in this type of promotion. Her Instagram account alone has nearly 20,000 followers. Ducarroz is also setting a great example for BMX riders by becoming an entrepreneur at such an early age.
When she was just 15, Ducarroz started FDV, a company that offered BMX gear and clothing to riders all across the world. Getting started early was a key point for Ducarroz's success in the BMX industry. She had always loved jumping off of things on her bike as a kid, but things really changed when she was 13 and started seeing BMX videos, and being inspired by some of the greatest BMX tricks ever.
Ducarroz is excited to see more competitions and push herself as a rider. Continuing to meet her current sponsors' expectations and seek new sponsors is also a part of Ducarroz's game plan.
Pat Casey went to North Carolina for a weekend to see what the local parks around Raleigh had to offer. The temperature was way colder than Pat is use to but he powered through and came out with a solid video filmed in just a day and a half.
