With all the roadtrips that have taken place last month RIDE have gone for a bit of a road-trip theme this issue. The main three bangers are the Etnies / Blackout trip, The Haro Team UK road-trip and the Cult Federal UK Summer Tour. Issue 156 has also got Soul Mag’s Garden Party, A few brief moments with Luke Towey, a massive Stay Strong WWWin package, both Chase DeHart and Dennis Enarson’s Pro Bike Checks, Room 101 with Cory Nastazio, WTFs with Richie Lee-Haigh and Chad Osburn, and loads of other goodness from the month. The Etnies / Blackout crew travelled through Colarado, Utah and California on a 10 day whirlwind trip. They saw rainbows in the desert, Tommy Dugan kills just about every concrete bowl in sight, Nathan Williams dropped a switch backwards crooked to indian on a legit handrail, and even Walter Pieringer backflipping the mega ramp.

Boom! It was like they shoved a bomb through the door this time. The 148 pages on quality paper sure adds to the weight. I'm glad the postman was happy he got rid of this one. ART #4 just arrived and it's got loads of BMX stuff in it. From an interview with BMX racer Joris Daudet to the Lords of Dirt report. From the X-Games to the Bilbao trip, from flatland in Argentina to the King of Southsea. ART seems to cover it all and it is looking better and better. We'll just continue telling you what's inside, that way you can decide if you need to make sure to get your copy for the €6 euros they're asking for it.

FEATURES: 

It had been a while since I picked up a copy of RIDEBMX. The digital sub had ran out for a year also but when I saw the stack of mags at Interbike, I picked up a copy. It kept me occupied for most of the trip back, next to playing Yahtzee. I actually enjoyed reading it and with RIDE you get the feeling that you can finish the issue and you're done. The Eric Lichtenberger itw was good (I like reading longer interviews), the Old School collector was impressive, the Chicago story was interesting and it was good to read about Ron Wilkerson's road trip in the Limo. Always an adventure with Ron.

Just finished scanning the cover of BMX Plus!' November issue. It fell on the doormat yesterday. I had actually picked up a copy of it at their booth in Las Vegas but it's been sitting here waiting for a review. Well, here it is.

Chad Kerley makes the cover of the mag. With Vitamin Water as his new sponsor and recently being bumped up to the Nike Pro team, he can already show them he's the real deal. What would have happened if Andrew Jackson kept racing motocross? Maybe James Stewart wouldn't be the only black rider in the SX field. Andrew chose riding BMX and made the contents page doing a rail hop to flat without any factory suspension. The events that are featured in the November issue are the X-Games, still an important happening in the BMX world, like it or not. Also the Red Bull Ride & Seek tour gets featured. Good to see Red Bull are doing BMX events on a regular basis again. BMX Racing in SLC? Sure, just check page 68.
