Justin Jester took the title in the BMX park contest last weekend at the Free Flow Tour’s Joplin, Mo. stop, becoming a winner on the Tour’s 2008 season. During the comp at Autumn Ramp Park Bentonville, Ark.-native Jester, 20, won the BMX park competition on Sunday, June 1. “It’s unbelievable,” Jester said after his win, “and winning the Free Flow Tour would be even more incredible.” “It was a great event, and I’m excited that local riders get a chance to prove their mettle in the Free Flow Tour finals,” Jeremiah Anderson, Autumn Ramp Park manager, said following the contests. “The Free Flow Tour is a great event nationwide, and I’m ready to see riders that are here everyday go to Salt Lake City and do their thing. There was some crazy riding this weekend, with some pro-level tricks getting thrown.”
With the win, Jester earns automatic bids into the Free Flow Tour finals that will take place at the AST Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, September 11-14, 2008.
Dale Holmes, Free Agent World Team Member and Manager, is the 2008 World Champion in both the Master 20” BMX and 24” Cruiser categories after placing first this past weekend at the UCI World Championships in China. The weekend proved successful for Free Agent. The team cinched 5 World Championship titles as a while, including the 2008 World Championship Team trophy for the second year running. “Day 3 was very successful for the team. The Hoffman Sports Association announced today the first round of invites for the BMX Freestyle competitions for ESPN’s X Games 14, to be held July 29-August 3 in Los Angeles. X Games 14 will bring back Vert and Big Air for BMX Freestyle, as well, the event will include two new competitions: Street and SuperPark. SuperPark will comprise 20 riders in a pre-qualifying round to select for a 10-rider final. Detailed schedule and competition format to be released soon. Invitees include:

Interbike, producer of the International Bicycle Expo and OutDoor Demo trade only events, today announced individual retail buyer registration is up by 45 percent compared to the same time period last year (as of May 28). The number of pre-registered businesses is showing an even larger percentage increase of 55 percent compared to last year. The opening of retailer registration was formally announced on Interbike's Blog, InterbikeTimes.com, and by email to retailers on May 8.
