Mike Groff took the title in the BMX park contest this weekend at the Free Flow Tour’s Jackson, N.J. stop, becoming a winner on the Tour’s 2008 season. Groff, 19, won the BMX park competition on Sunday, June 8. “Even though it was ridiculously hot, all of the kids put a lot of effort into the Free Flow Tour competition,” Katie Munn, apparel manager of the Incline Club, said following the weekend’s events. “Everyone put their best foot forward despite the heat. The riding was really impressive, both from the locals and from everyone who came out. With the bands and the giveaways and the riding, the Free Flow Tour really had a positive vibe, and we’re excited to see how our riders compete in the finals.”

For the fourth consecutive year, ASA Entertainment (ASA), the global leader in action sports event and TV production, and CBS Sports are teaming up to bring top-notch action sports entertainment to network TV viewers. ASA’s 2008 Action Sports World Tour will broadcast four hours of programming on CBS Sports during four weekends in November and December.

The next match of the Dutch team will be played tonight at 20:45hr against the French. It is good to see that more companies have got our back. The Canadians obviously are not in the European football championships but they do make some sweet orange parts. The bronze parts are not good enough for us though. We'll call up Super G for some Gold 43 stuff when we win the cup. 

After the 3-0 Holland victory on world champions Italy at the first match of the European football championships in Austria/Switzerland, Paul called up S&M for some Orange BMX parts. With people painting their houses and cars orange to support the Dutch football team, you can now show your support by getting one of those Orange S&M parts for your bike. The AST Dew Tour, the world’s premier season-long action sports tour, today announced the roster of athletes that are pre-qualified for the 2008 AST Dew Tour. The Panasonic Open kicks off in Baltimore, June 19-22 at Camden Yards Sports Complex. Athletes are pre-qualified based on their rankings at the end of the 2007 AST Dew Tour season. Additionally 3-4 wild cards per discipline have been selected. Athletes who are not pre-qualified may compete as Open Qualifiers at the Panasonic Open to earn a spot in the preliminary rounds. Did we mention it's free?

Did you ever ride on a salt mine? Okay, thought so. Alejandro Caro did and we checked with him on the experience of riding on salt. Are you salty?

What was that session on the salt mine all about? Where is that place? 

Crupi World Team claims 4 gold and 2 bronze medals at the UCI World Championships in Taiyuan, China. W1 12-year old Hannah Sarten of New Zealand worked hard to keep her title and take her place on the top of the podium. After a slow gate Hannah came into the first turn in 3rd place, but had the gold in sight. She stayed tough through the second straight, held a low line, went for the pass in the second turn taking over and holding the lead to the finish line. Hannah went on to take the gold in cruiser on Saturday for a first in the history of New Zealand!

Merle Van Benthem followed Hannah making sure the Crupi girls would shine. Merle came out of the gate and spent most of the race in second place. Coming in to the third turn she decided it was time to put her riding skills to use jumping the entire technical straight she took the lead and kept it all the way to the gold. She followed with a gold in cruiser where she left the gate in first place and never looked back holding it to the finish line assuring the Crupi girls with two double-doubles for the weekend!
