The BMX Worlds 2009 presented by ROCKSTAR Energy Drink (July 10-12th) in Cologne are moving closer and closer. Only two weeks from now, the BMX elite will gather up once again in the Jugendpark Cologne to celebrate the sport as they compete for the title. The event is highly anticipated by fans and riders alike. There will be a total of 450 registered athletes (230 of them are pros). Sadly, what the promoters of the BMX Worlds have feared, has become reality: Even though the registration deadline was already two weeks ago, 
Josh Hult won the BMX dirt competition on Friday at the Nike 6.0 BMX Open, with Brandon Dosch coming in second, marking the first podium finishes in Dew Tour history for both athletes. Ryan Nyquist rounded out the podium in third. Hult, a 25-year-old Idaho native, pulled out a 92.50 finish over Dosch’s score of 92.31, with a truckdriver tailwhip, superman tailwhip and 360 to downside whip. "It feels absolutely amazing to win, but I don't know if it's really sunk in all the way yet. I kind of messed up my first run, but I made up for it in my second run with double tailwhips both ways,” Hult said.
It was a wild night of riding as some of the best Dirt jumpers in the world tore up the course in the first Finals of the 2009 Dew Tour. It was a tough comp, and in the end it was Idaho's Josh Hult who took top spot, followed by Brandon Dosch and Ryan Nyquist.BMX DIRT FINALS

Ryan Nyquist just killed it in Dirt Prelims, coming out on top of the pack that moves into tonight's finals. Brandon Dosch is keeping himself busy, by making it to Dirt finals in addition to Park tomorrow. The nine moving to the Finals in an hour are:BMX DIRT PRELIMS

The 2009 Dew Tour is officially underway. Things got started with the BMX Park Prelims. In a wild contest, Mirra came out on top. Garrett Reynolds, who has been busy with the Nike 6.0 Street Specialty Competition, managed to run over to the Park course to come in second. Marcus Tooker, Dennis Enarson, Craig Mast, Mark Webb, Brandon Dosch, Morgan Wade, and Steven McCann will also be riding in tomorrow's Finals.
