Not sure if many people know that you have been welding all this time next to riding bikes. Did you actually have a welding class at school or something?
Osato: Ya in high school we had a great metal shop with lathes, milling machines and welders. I got into it so I could fix my bike whenever it broke. It helped me out so much and saved me money.
It's hard to stay on top of things as a pro rider. Do you have that same feeling when you're welding, do you have the drive to get better all the time?
Osato: For sure. There is so much to learn about welding and metal in general. It will take a long time to be on top in this industry, but I love it because it's a never ending learning process.
Can you compare bike riding with welding in a sense where at first you do it for fun. Then you do riding demos for extra cash or weld something for a friend for a few bucks, and then it turns
