Caroline Buchanan (AUS) and Connor Fields (USA) once again claimed victory in the Superfinal Time Trials during the third round of the 2012 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series in Papendal, Netherlands. For Connor Fields this was the fourth consecutive win and it was the third for Buchanan. It was a challenging day for all competitors because of the length of the track and wind gusting at times.

Remarkable repeat wins
These repeat wins are rather remarkable considering the fierce competition only 76 days ahead of the Olympics, but also considering the different types of tracks these wins were established on. Fields and Buchanan are unstoppable at the moment. Who will stop them tomorrow?

Finals Tomorrow 1300 CSET
Tomorrow the racing continues on 13.00 hours (CEST). 64 men have qualified out of 132 and 32 women out of 41. The men will forward into the 1/8 finals and women into the ¼ finals.

Gotta love it when pro riders are taking the effort to put on a contest. Chad Kerley's Invitational took place at BK's park and here are the results:

When we rolled up at the Dutch Olympic training ground this morning we saw Nicky van der Veen, Channon Balorian and Stuart Gibson already warm up for their first demo at the BMX SX race. Skateland had put on some (shitty) demo ramps with one 5ft quarter on one side, a 4ft "jump box" in the middle and a 4ft quarter on the other side. Not too many people had shown up yet and the time trials were about to start at 12:30hr on the other side of the grandstands so I did not expect too much of the show. But soon enough I was seeing flips, flairs, downside tailwhips, 360-s over the box, truckdrivers and all that good stuff. The longer they rode, the more people showed up. It was the first show of the day so we grabbed the camera to take some shots to make sure we had something already in case the weather wouldn't cooperate later on or we would simply forget to take pics. 2 more shows followed which we missed so you'll have to do with these pics we got this morning. More tomorrow? Maybe, but the focus will be on the fastest BMX racers of the world on the track on the other side of the grandstands.

The Time Trials superfinals at the third BMX SX World Cup just finished. Connor Fields barely made it in the Superfinals (top 16) but made it count when it mattered. The top 64 riders will ride the main program tomorrow where the top 16 fastest riders battled it out in the Time Trials Superfinals for maximum points and a better starting position on the gate tomorrow.
