For the second year in a row, BMX Vert rider Vince Byron claimed the first medal of KIA X Games Asia. Successfully defending his 2011 BMX Vert gold medal, Byron edged out fellow Aussie Steve McCann and American Chad Kagy for his fourth KIA X Games Asia medal. Since ESPN launched a formal bid process last May, ESPN received significant interest from around the world from cities vying to host an X Games. Official bids were due and submitted on January 2, 2012, and a few weeks later ESPN announced the following nine finalists who advanced to the next phase: Barcelona, Spain; Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil; Lisbon, Portugal; Munich, Germany; Quintana Roo, Mexico; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Whistler, Canada. We've ran a lot of pin up shots over here at FATBMX. To remember them all you need a good photographic memory. I usually know which ones we've posted but am not sure about this one.
