British born Ben Hennon makes the step up from the local UK team to join the ranks of the Vans European BMX team. Ben showed his skills not only on the recent Off the Wall UK BMX tour and obviously caught the eye of TM Andy Zeiss: “I know Ben for a long time and it came to a point where it wasn’t a question anymore if he could step up his career at Vans. I am stoked to have him on the EMEA team now.” Best known as a park rider, Ben has been progressing his talent on all terrain and is now as at home on the street as he is on dirt jumps. Simpel Session 09 will be held on 17 and 18 January at the Saku Arena, Tallinn, Estonia. Simpel Session is the biggest winter BMX and skateboarding festival in Europe and also one of the most international extreme sport events in the world. This year, approximately 140 contestants from 26 countries will take part in Session. The large number of highly skilled participants in both sports guarantees excitement for the audience from the very beginning of qualifying rounds. In addition to the main events, the festival will feature the best trick competition in both BMX and skateboarding. Contestants include skater Adam Dyet and BMX-riders Garrett Reynolds, Brian Kachinsky The festival has done much to promote Estonia among BMX riders and skateboarders all over the world and in 2007, the portal Fatbmx selected Simpel Session as one of the 10 best BMX events. This year the festival is held for the 9th time and the festival is organized by Elamussport. Simpel Session will be hosted by Dave Duncan
