The fact that we do these FAT-Fridays on Fridays means that is has already been a week since the Mini-FAT-JAM took place. Boy were we lucky with the weather but you get what you deserve....haha. The turnout was great and yes it was possible to ride in a T-shirt. If your name is Mark Vos, you could even ride without a T-shirt. Just think about it, it was snowing at the beginning of the week....damn! The party at OJA would still have been a good one even if the day was a rain-out. The Electronical premiere was good. We had lots of BMX-ers cing it out. The bands that followed got the party started and the classic songs (including the Dire Straits) finished off the evening on a good note for everyone who did not have to drive home (all the drunks on the dance-floor). Days like these make you realize why we do what we do. Good times.

ESPN will debut three new disciplines at X Games 14 this summer in Los Angeles - Skateboard and BMX SuperPark and BMX Street. SuperPark will be a 100 percent transition-focused design - blending a variety of terrain and obstacles into one seamless course. The SuperPark disciplines will highlight the all-around abilities of the world's best transition skaters and BMX riders. This will mark the first time ever that X Games will not have a stand-alone vert ramp. In addition to Skateboard and BMX SuperPark, BMX Street will be added to X Games where it will follow the same template as X Games mainstay Skateboard Street. The concept is simple, raw street features such as stairs, rails and ledges replicated in an arena setting.

BMX legend Mat Hoffman, the sport organizer for X Games BMX events, said: "The very core of BMX is to explore and be creative. This new format will promote this progression, providing the opportunity for the best riders to expand Park and Vert to new dimensions."

Hello Amigos, Remember our trip in Italy this past summer? Well, the video is done. Sergio Layos and Angel (Sergio's brother) edited it and it turned out great. The idea about this DVD is to make it very affordable or even for free. So all of you can watch it. It’s in HD so we don’t want it to be downloaded. It will lose so much quality so it’s kind of a shame. We wanted you to watch it properly. So for now it will be included for free in Props issue 68. We’ll let you know where else you’ll be able to get the DVD.

If you need an excuse to experience the Czech Republic this is it. The Bike Hall contest takes place from 9-10 May in the Trutnov Ice stadium. Prize money for BMX is 1000 Euros for first, 800 for 2nd and 500 for 3rd place. Best trick: €300. Worth the gamble to go?

This Friday Peter Geys will open his BMX shop. It's called "The 900" which has a story behind it. Peter had been chasing that trick on vert for a long time and finally pulled it over in England. "The 900" was also a whorehouse not far away from where the shop will be opened. Paul visited the location and was impressed by the space they've got. The vert ramp is built up and trails are being made in the backyard. This Friday Peter will also present the Premium team during the opening. Not everyone can be as lucky with the weather as we were last Saturday with the Mini-FAT-JAM. The flatland session in Wuppertal, Germany this Saturday has been moved to a covered location because the forecats are terrible. The address is: Friedrich Engels-Allee 229 (across from the police officers) on the grounds of supermarket Pluß there is a covered spot ... The area is quite large and fairly precisely what is good. (The spot is legal is no panic).
