You know what sucks? Building trails for 5 years and then finding out that out of the blue the local council has plowed them. The Hellentrails locals were mad, very mad, and demanded the local council to support them to get them back up. They did and they've never been better. Seems ages since I tapped these computer keys and typed out an update for you but for these last 2 weeks we have been waiting for some important confirmations from the Craig Hospital and it is only today that I feel confident enough to spill some juicy juicy news---more about that later in this bulletin. During my last trip out to stay with Stephen we saw some huge changes in his breathing abilities and we were on a countdown to try and get rid of the trach from Stephens neck which has been keeping him alive for the last 21 weeks via the life support machine[ ventilator]. The large diameter plastic trach with the speaking valve and inner balloon was removed with a lousy yelp from Stephen, it really hurt me just watching let 
Sometimes we get sent e-mails and they end up burried in the inbox somewhere. It's not uncommon to have a few thousand e-mails in that Outlook Express Inbox. Making it down to the bottom of the list is tough as new ones keep coming in on the top. It's not our intention to not reply to someone but sometimes it just happens. I remembered that Louis Mikolay had sent a couple of e-mails with some links to videos he had finished. He then sent a mail telling that his website has received a major update. It's a site to keep the local scene alive and it provides photos of architecture that is meant to be ridden. The site is based in the Bochum/Wuppertal area and shows amazing spots. If we would have more sites like these it would be easier to find things to ride.

We like it when a (big) company comes in and does something for the sport. RedBull's backyard-digger and Backyard Build-off are a good example. Nike 6.0 is following up. Instead of hiring a stadium, they're going to riders' backyards and throw a jam there after they have fixed up the place. Last week ramp builder Nate Wessel started working on Ben Snowden's backyard ramps and gave them a complete overhaul (thanks to Nike).
