Like last year Matti Roese sent us a flyer of the 2006 Berlin City Games flatland contest. The date will be Saturday 9 december 2006. There will be a PRO / Amateur flatland contest with 5000 Euro price money for the pros and prizes for the amateurs. The aftershow party will be taking place at the same location (Parochial Kirche - Klosterstr., Berlin, Germany).

The wait is nearly over, the Backyard Jam is only two days away now! For those of you who can't wait, here is a sneak peek at the street course, designed by Nate Wessell, which Nate and his team are currently building, as we speak! at the ICE Arena in Sheffield. FATBMX will have Craig Tull present to take photos of the Backyard jam so expect some photos and results after the weekend.

The new SEBIKES website is up and running. All of our new '07 products are up for your viewing pleasure. This year we included MSRP and the weights of all bikes & frames.

The following riders found themselves to build the tag teams for round 3 of Battle in da Club tour, Germany’s first and sole Bmx Flatland tour. The riders were allowed to choose a companion but one rule is that the teams can't enter a battle in the same constellation two times in a row with the exception of the winning team. So we don't see the same teams twice in series. Let the battles begin.

The 8 two-man teams are:
1 Frank Lukas & Matti Röse
2 Waldemar Fatkin & Lasse Süttning

If there is a true BMX nomad, it's Nathan Penonzek. He is on a constant travel and has seen more of the world than pretty much any of us. The pro flatlander has been documenting most of it. Some of the photos and text can be found on the website that he just started. Well worth a look.

Flatland
There are many reasons to share, and flatland has always been the best one, from ideas and thoughts, to foods and cultures, flatland is expression.

Yep. Dave Osato is now going to take on the team management of the US wethepeople team. A tricky job at the best of times, but as the wethepeople US team has seen some recent additions it was time to bring things together and Dave is more than man enough to take it. Doing what he's always done for wethepeople, 'Promoting wethepeople as it has never been done before'  was his take on the new role. We're stoked on the whole idea and with the current team now taking on business, things are serious. Feel free to heckle the dude for your news and the latest with the wethepeople US guys.

- Different news: rebeljam was aired on Fuel tv with a 3 minute clip in the USA. The clip was shown once a day for two weeks straight. Fuel tv is one of the largest extreme sports tv broadcasts in the USA. 

Not too many BMX birthday parties will be going on this week. The only BMX-er who is celebrating his B-day will be Sean Peters. Sean is a flatlander who likes to "Spin it like to hell" as a Czech Republican MC would have described it. Drink one on Sean this week if you will.

Our buddy Franske has left for a Safari. He teamed up with a few mates and drove all the way to a country where the sun shines all day and the temperature is between 40 and 60 degrees centigrade. Plenty of sand too so the 4X4 comes in handy. The guns you ask? they're there to keep the peace. Sniper Frans hasn't forgot to rock 'n roll.

It has been a week but if you did not catch the Dew Tour on TV it was pretty ugly. On live NBC Sports TV Scotty decided to go for his first double flip and ending up sliding across the floor on his face with his teeth sliding next to him. No one know exactly what he was thinking, the adrenaline of the moment just takes over sometimes.. The medical staff actually put his teeth back in his mouth and said they will heal by themselves, the human body is crazy. He also ended up with a few stitches in his chin. Yes, he will be wearing a full face helmet from now on and am guessing a lot of other riders will be doing the same, the level of riding is getting too crazy.
