Cape Town brought the energy this weekend as riders hit the Crosswind Pump Track for the 2025 South African Qualifier—and the action did not disappoint. In the women’s final, South Africa’s Miyanda Maseti claimed the top step with a sharp time of 20.612, edging out Khothalang Leuta from Lesotho, who’s been going from strength to strength and clocked 20.864 in the big final. Jessi Nixon took third after a consistent day of racing, and Ingrid Youell closed out the top four.
The men’s final was full-gas from start to finish, with Chile’s Sebastian Mendez laying down a blistering 17.978 to take the win. South Africa’s Andrew Posthumus kept the home crowd fired up with a strong second place finish in 18.419, while Doran Mathewson and Michard Meets rounded out the top spots.
Massive thanks to the pump track family for showing up and showing off with all the gees, grit, and good vibes. From the first start to final lap—it was all heart out there.
See you in Switzerland!

“Joe Smith is truly a product of his environment. Growing up in Bexhill under the wing of the legendary Jump Club, BMX has always been in his blood. Over the years, we’ve watched Joe progress steadily, and it’s been an honour to support him here at 4Down — with no plans to stop any time soon.
I’m hyped to announce there’s gonna be a Flatland Jam right here in my hometown of Hammond on the same day as the world premiere of my documentary, The Road Home!
We’re throwing down an all-day session jam with riders coming in from all over—no official contest, just straight-up riding, good vibes, and community. I’ll be handing out $1,000 in Flatland Fuel gift cardsand giving out 10 awards for riders who kill it in different categories throughout the day.
I’ve already talked to a bunch of you behind the scenes, and I’m seriously stoked that so many of you are making the trip.
But the main event… That’s happening that night—the world premiere of my documentary “The Road Home” at the Columbia Theatre. This film is my life’s story, and nothing would mean more than packing the house with all of you who’ve been a part of this journey. Let’s make history and sell out the theater for the first time ever.
Save the date: September 20th. Let’s ride, connect, and celebrate together right here in Hammond. I can’t wait to see you all.
More info coming soon on close hotels, The after party, and how to reserve your seat in the theater.
