Nach Barcelona und Glasgow geht es im dritten Teil unserer Happy Days-Serie nach Kopenhagen, wo Kriss Kyle, Felix Prangenberg und Daniel Tünte Anfang des Sommer eine knappe Woche lang ihr Unwesen getrieben haben. Doch obwohl die drei Nike-Boys während ihrer Stippvisite wirklich jeden Tag von Sonnenauf- bis -untergang auf den Straßen der Hauptstadt Dänemarks unterwegs waren, schafften sie es dennoch nur einen Bruchteil der unfassbar vielen guten Spots zu fahren, die es dort gibt*.
Die Organisatoren der Simple Summer Session 2017 in Riga hatten für ihren Contest eine ganz besondere Location klargemacht: den Platz vor dem Freiheitsdenkmal im Zentrum der lettischen Hauptstadt. Das ist ungefährt so, als würde in Deutschland einen BMX-Wettbewerb vor dem Brandenburger Tor abhalten. Schließlich handelt es sich bei diesem 42 Meter hohen Monument um den geschichtsträchtigsten Platz des Landes.
What Is In Your Life’s Blueprint? by Dmitri Shushuyev. I tend to listen to a lot of speeches and watch a lot of documentaries and so I wanted to create a mixture of raw elements with an infamous speech "What Is Your Life's Blueprint?" of Martin Luther King, Jr. I wanted to try something different with incorporating foley work / RAW sounds or creating a complete sound design for a short. As I was filming Simple Summer Session 17, I thought to myself why not give it a go here. During the event it was impossible to record any original sounds, because of the loud speakers and commentators on the microphones. However, a work around that was to record sound separately after the event. A friend of mine who rides BMX (Anar-Erik Kütsar) helped out by riding at the local skatepark while I was recording the sounds made.
