BMX / Litehouse Rim promo Featuring Matt Nordstrom and Tom Dugan. The Odyssey Litehouse Rim is both light and strong, with super-thick angled sidewalls to minimize the risk of damage when you hang up. The rim features a wider cross-section than normal to compliment modern tire widths. Designed as a semi-brakeless rim that can be run front or rear. When brakes are used, be sure to adjust the pads so they avoid making contact with the tire’s sidewall, as usual.
Beyond perception is the exploration of oneself. The strive towards success clouds our visions at times and we forget the simple of things like love. Love towards other people, love towards the things we enjoy the most in life, but most of all love towards ourselves. We are always worried how we are going to start heading into the right direction and where we are headed. In the wise words of Jim Carrey "You are ready and able to do beautiful things in this world". Never forget this.
Searching for a track and picking the right one for an edit is always something I think long about. When I heard this song by Horrorshow I knew that I found the one. The lyrics are on point and that 2nd verse says it all. Anyways, I recently returned to Australia with my family and had the best time imaginable. Here is some clips of what I got up to. It was rad to catch up with some of my mates and there is a few throwback clips that fitted in perfectly with the lyrical narrative from when I lived there in 2010.

Must Dust is a meditation on where BMX and art collide. As Artist’s, it’s easy to feel limited by the obstacles, be it a lack of resources, internalized fears or the challenges in making something great. For me it’s a reminder that my voice, ambition and resourcefulness will always be the driving force behind what I create. But most importantly, the process of creating is ultimately the most rewarding part; even when it feels like it’s going to fall apart. This piece was initially self funded and produced. It started with an idea, we filmed it and Red Bull jumped on board with their Raditudes series. The project was daunting. With little to no money I had no idea how we’d pull it off — especially finding a location we could destroy without being arrested. The piece wouldn’t exist without the amazing and talented people who donated their time; without Gear Seven's dedication; Corey Martinez who got on board immediately; or without Red Bull’s support in the end.
Thomas Hirsch - BMX Freestyle edit - 2017 Easter sunday afternoon at Exerzierplatz Erlangen. Das ist für alle Frankfurt Schwestas und Brudis und natürlich auch für die Berliners und Trierers! Auch weil ich einige zu selten gesehen habe. Danke für die tolle Zeit!
"Scott Bentley is one of my oldest friends. Although he's always skated, his connection to the Tampa bmx scene has historically been tight. In the mid 90's, Scott moved away after we graduated from high school. Then moved back to Tampa to open his own salon about 15 years ago. And decided, recently, after getting fed up with the politics of local public skateparks, to build his own." - Matt Coplon
Shooting with Chris Childs can be a harrowing experience. Chris pedals fast, jumps far, airs high, grinds big… there’s plenty of potential for catastrophe, but I get the sense I’m usually more concerned than he is. The word “casual” gets thrown around a lot when describing highly-skilled bike riders, but Chris is the poster boy for casual. Chris routinely fires out the craziest shit like it’s nothing; I’ve never seen anything like it. Even after years of filming with him, I’m still taken aback by the caliber of the stunts he’s dreaming up, and perhaps even more so by his carefree attitude towards them. For the incredible amount of risk Chris is taking, he’s cool as a cucumber. With Chris there are usually no run ups and no second tries. Even on the rare occasion he’s actually sweating something, more often than not it’s one and done.
