Fids was the first episode we did for The Union Tapes, and served as the perfect launch for what we were trying to do. This is a tribute to Fids, who left us on the 08/12/24 he leaves a legacy and a half.
Fids is one of the bigger UK names from 90s BMX to present day. He’s pretty much done it all.
This is an interview from 2013 that was made for John Paul Rogers and Empire BMX's now-defunct Collateral Media Site that we're reposting in memory of our friend Mark "FIDS" Findlay who passed away on December 8, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
Fids is a lifelong friend of ours here at FATBMX. From riding for S&M to helping build ramps for our annual Boyley Jam, he truly embodies what it means to be a diehard BMXer. Recently, Fids was diagnosed with cancer, but for those who know him, he's not letting that slow him down - he's raising those middle fingers high!

Fids has always ripped on BMX and skate sides of things, so we laced him up with a new signature pool deck.
