Round one of the 2018 UCI BMX SX World Cup took place in St. Quentin-en-Yvelines near Paris in France. After a long off-season world's fastest BMX racers united at the covered BMX SX track at the French National training centre. It was the first big worldwide test to see how winter training had worked out and with a record number of entries, the athletes had plenty of racing to do before they'd make it to the final. Qualifying racing is much more interesting than the time trials that were used a few years ago. From the start of the racing it gets interesting. In Round 1 the top 4 riders transfer to the next round. The last chance that follows takes the best two riders to the next round. In the Men category that was a 1/32nd final in France due to the number of entries. To make it to the
A Little short video I made from my time in France back in July last year. Mostly filmed around the region of Bordeaux with Camping trips to the South coast for a couple of Bmx Jams. Thanks again to all the French legends (Old friends and New) for Letting me stay, Showing me around, Translating everything and Most of all the Good times! Our goal was to visit Luxembourg, France and especially Paris for BMXDAY and Netherlands where instead of visiting the rainy streets of Amsterdam, we found a very nice skatepark under the bridge in Zaandam, not far from our awsome airbnb place.
