Riley Smith might be the most causal pro bike rider on the planet. Quietly and calmly stepping up to big rails and trying extremely technical tricks without ever seeming to stress out. Cool without trying to be.
Dillon Lloyd might be one of the most talented people I have ever had the pleasure of filming. These clips were filmed back in 2018 for Wethepeople. There's a few clips I found that didn't get used for one reason or another that I threw in there as well.
It's so common to hear people complaining about what they believe is wrong with BMX but it's important to remember that you are in charge of how you participate in it. Maybe the world has moved away from full length videos but if there's something you value, then it makes sense to put your time, effort, and energy into it regardless of if there is a monetary value.
Weekend warriors Andy Garcia and Nick Krauer are in the streets every weekend making it happen and getting footage. Whether on the bike or in the bars of Newport these two make their presence known.
This is a raw cut of Jordan Godwins "Honey" section. This video was filmed around 3 weeks in Southern California and Tucson AZ in the winter of 2021. Most people aren't capable of filming a part of this caliber let alone in 3 weeks time but Jordan isn't most people.
When I was filming for OSS we did a big trip to Swampfest. I was supposed to make these BTS videos and some of them ended up being released but for some reason this one, post Swampfest, never was released. Check out 12 minutes of skatepark and street footage from the old OSS squad.
This video came from meeting Sam Jones in person at Battle of Hastings a few years back. I simply said "Come to California and lets film a video" about 6 months later Sam was on his way. It's pretty amazing how things work out sometimes. Thanks to BSD for sending Sam and wanting to work with me in general. It isn't always easy working with new people but Sam was a treat to work with and kept me laughing the entire time. Can't say enough good things about Sam.
There are very few riders who put in as much work as Dan Kruk. Sometimes it feels like the stuff Dan wants to do isn't supposed to be possible but Dan finds a way to make it happen. Take some time to sit down and watch what it takes to make something like Dan's "Honey" part.
When Broc Raiford approached me and wanted to work on a video I was beyond honored. One of the best riders in the world wanting to work with me really meant a lot to me and I knew this project was going to be special. Working with a rider as the client was a new experience for me and honestly Broc couldn't have made it an easier process.
Anyone who knows Dillon Lloyd knows he is one of the most talented riders of all time. When I worked for WTP I put together a video of Dillon that I filmed about half of and Scott Marceau had filmed the other half of.
