Vans BMX would like to welcome three riders to a more permanent place on the BMX team. Larry Edgar, Sean Ricany and Travis Hughes have all been pushing their own riding and the boundaries of BMX. They were all down to rock Vans before 2018 and now we're making it official.
It’s no secret that Larry is a beast on a bike, goes an extra couple feet higher than the next guy and has some of the best inverted 3’s in the game! With an amazing year under his belt, with high demands from travel and contests, this video became quite the journey. Originally meant to be only a few months in the making, at most, but between travel, contests, scheduling and injuries for both the filmer Nathan and Larry himself, it took a little longer than planned. When the dust settled it was Larry Edgar taking the top spot in the 2017 Vans BMX Pro Cup Series. Larry's finishes of 3rd, 4th, 2nd and 2nd were enough to edge him out as the overall champion, placing consistently better than any other single rider in the overall series. The inaugural 2017 Vans BMX Pro Cup World Championships closed out a remarkable series finale today as Larry Edgar was crowned Vans BMX Pro Cup World Champion. His critical second place finish bumped up his overall rankings to edge out former leader Sergio Layos to take the victory. Annihilating the custom-spec cement park course in Huntington Beach as part of the Vans US Open, Edgar’s showstopping airs and effortless technical style has surpassed the world’s best BMX park riders, earning him the coveted World Championship title, in addition to the crowd favorite Big Air Award.

Today, Woodward Copper announced Larry Edgar, pro BMX rider, to join the list of pro coaches that have been scheduled to rip up the terrain for the 2017 Summer BMX Camp. Larry will team up with Adam Baker and other expert BMX coaches from June 18-24, to help campers sharpen their riding skills and tricks in an array of bike courses, including the Woodward Copper Barn, indoor bowl, mini ramp and street course. Edgar, pro BMX rider for Vans, Fly Bikes, Stay Strong BMX and Ride 100% recently won Simple Session 2017 and secured third in the 2017 Vans BMX Pro Cup. His freedom to be creative through riding has inspired those in the action sports industry and even more so, those of the younger generation.
Larry Edgar makes his way to Woodward Copper to warm up for Summer Camp and test out a never been done line at The Barn.Larry will be a visiting guest pro during week 3, June 18-24.
