The Vans BMX Pro Cup Series closed out an explosive competition in Málaga, Spain as 31 of the best BMX riders from around the globe battled it out for top honors and the coveted global qualifier title. In an astonishing finals shakeup, USA’s Chase Hawk clinched the Málaga victory in his first appearance this season, demonstrating steadfast style and ingenuity through unpredictable lines throughout Málaga’s beloved park terrain course.
“The Vans Pro Cup is one of the best contests that BMX has going, mix that with Rubén Alcántara’s skatepark makes for the perfect event. To be able to come here and put it all together feels amazing,” exclaims first place winner, Chase Hawk.
The Vans BMX Pro Cup Series reconvenes for the second global qualifier event of the season as the world’s most talented professional BMX riders converge on Spain’s beautiful southern coast to compete at the El Málaga Skatepark, May 5-7. Showcasing the unique riding styles of BMX icons such as Dennis Enarson, Ryan Nyquist, and Larry Edgar, plus highlighting Madrid native Sergio Layos, winner of the Australia event, the Vans BMX Park Series is slated for a wild ride of park terrain action!

Participants: Up to 80 riders total (men and women)
If 5 or more women are confirmed, they will ride in their own heat in the Regional Qualifier semi-final
Age: 16 years + (Minors must have a parent or guardian complete registration on-site)
Entry Fee: $50 US (Paid at event registration, cash only)
Course: Concrete park
– Helmets are required for all practices and competitions

– RQ registration is open to riders from all countries
