"At the end of 2008, Mark Mulville sketched a rudimentary design on a napkin. He brought that napkin into the Profile machine shop and within a week, the Profile 40 load stem, now discontinued, was modified into a top load design that would, soon after, get the moniker "The Profile Push Stem." Coming on 15 years old, Mulville's Push stem quickly became, and has remained, one of Profile's most popular products.
