After its inception in the concrete jungle of Copenhagen, the Vans BMX UNFILTERED series reaches Africa. This time, it is Vans Global athlete Bruno Hoffmann and Alex Donnachie taking on Morocco. UNFILTERED is a video series that highlights the raw side of a BMX trip. The struggle, achievements, noise, peace, challenges, injuries, languages, architectures, cultures, weather, food, people, traffic, travel and jet lag.
Mobbin from the coast to the Sahara Desert through niche city and the High Atlas mountains. Took about 3 days of train, bus, and taxi trips. Each hour we traveled the weather got hotter. Hopefully the people in that car didn't die but fuck who knows.
The fourth episode of the Morocco series. Stayed at this rider's house in a random town outside Rabat. He was raising pigeons for food. Fire. The dude's mother gifted JD and I with white djellabas which was sick. We proceeded to chill with goats and do a bunch of feeble grinds.
I accidentally dropped my bike on a feeble hard and smoked this little Moroccan girl. People swarmed from all over and it was a sketchy situation. It sucked and I felt terrible but luckily she was ok.
Was lucky enough to be in Rabat, Morocco for their first BMX street jam. I gave away a piece of my bike to anyone who did something cool and people started sending it. Thanks to the locals for showing JD and I such a good time.
James Dean and I bought one way flights to Africa and saw some crazy shit. Donkeys eating out of trash cans, camels roaming the desert, Ramadan, octopus sandwiches, BMX, and then some. This is just the start of our adventure. More soon.
