Opening the season with a full podium sweep! Monster Energy congratulates team rider Mike Varga on winning the BMX Dirt competition at the 2024 Monster Energy BMX Triple Challenge in Anaheim, California, on Saturday. In the first stop of the season, the 27-year-old from Oshawa, Canada, rose to the top of the field on the dirt jumps outside the Angel Stadium. He was joined on the podium by Monster Army rider Brady Baker in second place and newly signed Monster Energy team rider Ryan Williams in third place.

In the progressive Best Trick contest, 29-year-old Ryan Williams from Sunshine Coast, Australia, took the top spot.

Two podiums in the Triple Challenge! Monster Energy congratulates Monster Army rider Brady Baker on winning the BMX Dirt competition at the 2023 Monster Energy BMX Triple Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee. In the final stop of the series, the 20-year-old rookie from Toms River, New Jersey, took his first professional win in a roster of seasoned competitors.

“To even make it to the point where I’m in the top 10 with all these guys that I’ve looked up to forever is crazy,” said Baker. A relative unknown at the beginning of the year, Brady had burst into the finals at each stop of the Triple Challenge. Nashville marked not only his first podium finish but his first high-profile victory.

The final stop of the BMX Triple Challenge went down in Nashville this weekend. The squad of riders was a bit lower due to some injuries, event conflicts, and I think some sentiments that people were out of the race for the overall title. Some weather cancelled the plans for Friday, so they dropped the LCQ/Semi-Finals and ran 20 riders down to eight. Even with the lower group of riders, the level never ceases to amaze...

The second stop of the BMX Triple Challenge went down in Glendale, Arizona. All the usual destroyers came out to chase the points for the overall standings and, as usual, the level of riding never ceases to amaze.

From 37 riders to 16 to just eight. The level of riding at the Glendale stop of the BMX Triple Challenge has been pretty damn wild. With the Semi Finals feeling more like a Finals, everyone went for broke in the final round...
