When I started riding BMX Flatland as I kid I had no idea where it would end up taking me. But riding is not about contests, trophies, or sponsors. It's about conquering yourself. It's about riding with others. It's about that feeling when you get when you pull a trick that you've never done... or never even thought was possible.
What an absolute warrior. Matt pushed through, after the worst crash of his career during practice, to go on to take 3rd in The Pro Flatland class at Texas Flatland Roundup XI. I don't think many would have been able to dig down and gather enough inner strength to do that. Huge props Matt, and get well soon!
