Getting your ride stolen sucks big time. It happened to a couple of people at this year's World's in Czech Republic. Here's a story from Attila, one of the victims.
I am Attila Sarlosi from Hungary. I have been on the BMX Worlds in Praha and happened with me some direful things. At Saturday night somebody broke into our car in the city and stole my bike and my backpack. At Sunday I went to the square where the flatlanders practise and I was searching a rider from Praha, that maybe he can help me. I found a rider and I told all things about my bike and asked that if he hears something about my bike or sees somebody trying to sell my bike on the square, to call me. I left my phone number with him.
We could run some old school pictures of Dylan Clayton in Mongoose racing gear from back in the day but we won't. Just trust us when we say that this guy has serious BMX roots. Dylan recently started his own BMX mailorder company and opened up a store a few weeks ago. FATBMX caught up with Dr. Smooth to find out more about the rider run set-up. FATBMX: Tell us a little about your new operation at Firm Bikes.
Dylan Clayton [firm bikes]: The new operation was at first to open a mailorder company www.firmbikes.com to supply bikes, parts and clothing. This was launched November 2004.

Flatland at the Worlds 2005 in Prague, Czech Republic.
This year the Worlds were being held in the beautifull city of Prague
in the Czech Republic on the 1st-5th of June. Flatlanders around Europe were very enthousiastic about going to this year's Worlds because Prague is a cool city combining many cultural highlights with a solid club scene and a relaxed atmosphere. Plus you get to see the best riders in the world go crazy on their bikes! Perfect! The floor
The flatland area was outside, no cover, so the sun hit the riders (and other people like the public and filmers like me) hard causing serious sunburn, profound sweating and severe thirst. The floor was made of wooden boards, some shifted a bit and it wasn't exactly level everywhere. A lot of riders complained about it, luckily the organisation recognized this problem so they ordered new wooden boards and the floor was to be taken out and a new one was to be put in. But then rain started on Saturday morning, so the whole flatland competition was moved to the street area which was covered and thus stayed dry.
ESPN's X Games announces the first wave of athletes who have been invited to compete at X Games 11, to be held in Los Angeles August 4-7, 2005. The event will air live on ESPN, ABC and ESPN Deportes.
X Games 11 will primarily have a finals-only format consisting of the 10 best action sports athletes per sport discipline.
All athletes receiving invitations to compete at X Games are chosen by a sport-specific selection committee. Criteria and timing of invitations varies by sport and discipline, as it is based on the state and event schedules of that particular sport. The only exception is each gold medalist from X Games 10 (2004) receives an automatic invitation to compete.
Pictures are coming through of Dave Osato's capture.
Contrary to popular belief, Mr Osato's regular residence is not a sprawling mansion in the Canadian mountains but is actually Mr and Mrs Warrals conservatory. A retired couples home in Berkshire, England.
Dave thought it was the perfect place to hide, with nobody under the age of 50 living in Berkshire.
Surprisingly, this was his downfall. It wasn't long before several pseudo
art enthusiasts from Dig magazine came through the small town to visit a museum and a rusty pipe in the middle of a farmers field. Bam, Dave was caught buying ice-pops at the local Spar when they stopped in for
semi-permanent black hair dye and AAA batteries.
