Intense BMX / Socko Energy Factory Team Pro Danny Caluag once again has won the toughest class in BMX racing, AA Pro. For the last 3 races in a row, and the 2nd ABA National event of the 2007 season, Danny has posted up huge wins at the BMX Nationals.
This time it was 4 huge victories, winning AA Pro and Pro Cruiser both days at the ABA Volunteer Nationals in Tennessee. Since joining the team, Danny has posted more wins in the AA pro class in just 3 events than the rest of his entire Pro Career. Look for Danny at this weekend’s NBL National Event in Portro Rico, for the 3rd round of the NBL 2007 Pro Series.
Gilbert, Arizona—January 22, 2007— The American Bicycle Association (ABA) has named American Suzuki Motor Corporation the official Motorcycle and ATV of the 2007 ABA BMX (Bicycle Motocross) racing series. The 2007 ABA BMX Race Series consists of 27 National events and 15 Pro Series events throughout North America. Suzuki Motorcycles and ATVs are a major sponsor of the
This time of the year you see some sponsor changes happen. New budgets become available and other budgets get cut. Being a pro rider in Europe ain't easy. To make things work you have to either go to the bigger comps with a decent pro purse or do a few shows on the side to pay the bills.
In the USA bike companies are not waiting in line either to sponsor riders. Even some pros who make top three in the Dew Tour series and X-Games every time are currently without paying bike sponsors (Chad Kagy - Jamie Bestwick). Call it tough times, call it whatever you want. If you do have a sponsor you're happy with, make sure you keep them stoked. Good luck out there.

10 years doesn't seem all that long ago. When you watch the bonus footage from 1996 you realize that quite a few things have changed in this period of time. Brian Foster was entering King of Dirt contests wearing the full Schwinn XS gear and that includes the leathers. Full face helmets were common (riders like Rooftop and Joe Rich had them too) and in 1996 the shorts were baggy. The chrome bikes weighed at least 8 pounds more and the top pros were wearing company jerseys to represent. It's fun to go back in time and I'm positive that in ten years from now we'll be laughing at the tight pants.
The Best BMX of 2006 is a must have. If you are going to buy only one, buy this Props. It's action packed with footage of too many riders to mention and too many spots to list. Clip after clip, tjak, tjak, tjak, bang, bang, bang, you get the idea. All top notch quality with
You want video clips, you get video clips. Wethepeople hooked it up wih Freecaster so you can watch these four clips. Clip one: Max G in da hizzle - It doesn't get more street than this. Clip two: Overseas action. The last time you see Clint not wearing a helmet. Clip three: UK. They drive on the left side of the rode there. Look left.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah,Yeah, Yeaaaaahhhh. My name is Surridge and I'm no man if I can't do it then noone can.....
That's how the song about Ronnie Surridge starts. You gotta listen to this, it's awesome. Good friend Ronnie Remo wrote and recorded it and if I'm right we hear Ronnie himself do some rapping on the FALCON song too. Go to Remo's myspace now and hit the FALCON song, that's the one about Ronnie Surridge. Priceless. It helps to know Ronnie personally but here are a few lyrics you can expect: -Sixty grand are in my hand and I love living in the dream land; in the USA , the USA, the USA........................
-Ring up Badders, for some shoes................................
-100 hunnies on the net that's what I've come to expect.........
A while ago we had some pics up on this section of FATBMX about Matt Bisschoff's band Dandeliondeath. Looks like they had another performance because we received some new shots. The Failure Bikes owner doesn't hold back when he's on stage and he's not alone. By the way, he wants all bitches to be his friend at the Dandeliondeath myspace site . Now check the hot photos and by the way, one of these hot babes is his wife.
What do you need to achieve to be crowned a King of the Czech cycling of a year? Not that much... Two World Champion titles, two World Cup titles, ten World Cup wins, two European Champion titles, two Jeep King of the Mountain titles, gold from SEAT 4X Masters, silver from UCI BMX Supercross, final at BMX Worlds and 90% of Olympic qualification ranking points for your country seem to be enough. Michal Prokop is the King of the Czech cycling 2006! Since 1966 Czech Cycling Union officials and selected sports journalists did vote 27 athletes including one queen all presenting traditional disciplines of road or track cycling. Also the cycle cross and cycle-ball already had their multiple kings. Luckily not only for the Czech BMX and fourcross community, we have Michal Prokop, the unique guy breaking through all the limits. And thanks to Michal, after long 41 years of the oldest sports award here in the Czech Republic, first ever fat tire King was finally crowned.
Openground bike and skate park in Reno , Nevada had its first ever competition this last weekend. The park is run by flatland rider Gabe Weed and is under full swing after dealing with all the bureacracy that comes with running a skatepark. The competition day was broken into 4 classes : Beginner , Intermediate , Advanced and Pro. The little guys were the most fun to watch giving it their all and getting the crowd behind them. A standout rider of this class was 11 year old Paris who took the boys to school with a crank flip over the jump box and super high carves on the vert wall. The atmosphere at this park is awesome and throughout the day riders were throwing themselves off park obstacles. I even saw one guy rugby tackle one of the roof pillars trying to transfer around it.
2 local bands who's names nobody seemed to know rocked out while the riders did their thing. The first band played hardcore and
At BMX Plus! magazine you never know who is going to get the cover. Most of the time it's not the usual big name rider out there. Dustin "Radio" Naill gets the front page of the February 2007 issue doing a rad no-footed cancan indian style one-hander. Plus! can be split up in four sections: Bikes, Departments, Events and Features. Bikes:Mike Day on Redline? Only for the Redline Flight Pro Bike test. He recently signed with GT. Steven Cisar pushes the Diamond Back Reactor to the limit in a bike test that starts on page 54. Departments: As far as we can remember BMX plus! has had an Inside Scoop (news) section, Mailbag, Ask the BMXperts, Trick Stuff and Parting Shot. The Shop Directory gives you an idea on where to buy the mag and the Mini Mart gives those who can only afford a small advertisement a change. Events: The finals of the Dew Tour happened a few months ago but if you want to see some good photos, Plus! has you covered.
