Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./Chase BMX) won the overall title as the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup wrapped up at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista on Saturday night. Olympic champion Mariana Pajon of Colombia took the women's overall win while American Arielle Martin (East Spanaway, Wash./Intense BMX) was second overall.

Elite Men: After taking the win in Friday's time trial Superfinal, Fields placed third in the Supercross final on Saturday. The 21-year-old won his quarterfinal and semifinal to make it into the eight-man main which also included Sam Willougby (AUS), Tory Nyhaug (CAN), Twan Van Gendt (NED), Liam Phillips (GBR), and fellow Americans David Herman (Wheat Ridge, Colo./Free Agent Bikes), Barry Nobles (Sun City, Calif./DK Bicycles), and Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./Redbull).

Fields led the race until turn two when he was taken over by Olympic silver medalist Willoughby and Nyhaug who placed first and second.

Southern California once again lived up to its reputation. In picture perfect conditions the best BMX riders of the world gathered at the Olympic Training Centre in Chula Vista for the final round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup. The World Cup event kicked off on Friday 27 September with the Time Trials to decide who gets the exclusive right to continue to the main event on Saturday 28th September. Americans Connor Fields and Felicia Stancil outperformed the rest of the world in the Time Trials.

The Time Trials for the final round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Series proved to be very interesting , with the wind being up, causing the athletes to rethink their racing strategy for the second straight.

USA's Corben Sharrah was the quickest qualifier in the first run, proving just how fast he can be in the Time Trials discipline. But eventually in the Time Trial Super Final Sharrah was beaten by the fastest man on 20-inch wheels, Connor Fields 

Americans topped the podium as the fourth and final stop of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup kicked off on Friday with the time trial Superfinals at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.

Elite Men: With a time of 38.126, Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./Chase BMX) won his third straight time trial Superfinal. The Nevada rider placed third in round one in Manchester and won rounds 2 and 3 in Santiago and Papendal before taking the final time trial win of the season on home soil. He finished ahead of compatriot Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./GT-Redbull) who grabbed the silver medal with a time of 38.455. Canadian Tory Nyhuag took the podium's third step with a time of 38.664.

Elite Women: Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill./GT Bicycles) clocked a 39.114 to take her first win of the season in Friday night's time trial Superfinal. Her best finish before Friday was a seventh-place effort in round one in Manchester. Time trialing to the silver was Laura Smulders (NED) with a 39.142. Alise Post

USA Cycling on Tuesday announced the dates and locations for 14 of its 17 2014 national championship events. The two BMX national championships are two weeks apart in May. The USA Cycling Elite BMX National Championships are slated for May 3 in Chula Vista, Calif. Two weeks later, the USA Cycling Amateur BMX National Championships are slated for May 17 in Albuquerque, N.M.
