STAY STRONG's Australian Junior rider Darryn Goodwin is on a little Euro tour right now and has been out here since the Madrid SX a few weeks back. Stopping off in France the following weekend and racing the first Euro rounds in Besancon he put on a good show with some stylish solid laps and made light work of the pro section even throwing a few no handers over the big dubs for the fans. He stayed out in France for the French Cup round over in Descartes this last weekend and took a convincing win in Saturday's main event in the competative National class.. Now over at Stay Strong UK headquarters he will be getting plenty of riding and training in before the first UK National at Cheddar in 2 weeks time before flying out to Perugia Italy for rounds 3-4 of the European Championship the following weekend..

The NBL Gator Nationals, held at Tampa BMX Raceway in Lake Park, April 10-11, drew the largest crowd for any National race this year. According to outside estimates, the race attracted over 7200 racers and fans to take part in some of the most exciting racing to date. It was the third race of the season for the NBL’s Elite Series which featured more than 1000 fast Pros and top amateur riders from across the country on a buttery smooth and lightning fast Tampa track.

The Saturday evening Pro Spectacular began with some great tunes from area band, Shadow Cabinet. Fun contests and exciting giveaways for fans included $2000 in prizes.

Free Agent’s Maris Strombergs shot out of the gate in the main and had a two bike length lead into the first turn. He only extended his lead on his way to the weekend double. ssquared/Garbage/TLD’s Josh Meyers passed Free Agent’s Cristian Becerine in the last turn for second, the second day in a row the rookie Elite took some money away from the vet. A good handshake on the podium show what good sports they both are. Reigning National #1 Elite Woman, Dominique Daniels, got the best of Amanda Carr on Sunday as Dom took the holeshot and fended off Amanda every time she got close.

The Super-Ex main was once again the CJ McGuire Show as he took the win with authority. McGuire had a huge Spring Break with double wins both weekends to take full control of the Super-Ex title chase. Logan Collins and Standard’s Randall Neave flew over the second turn in spectacular fashion as they battled for second. They were both OK. In Masters action, Percy “Spiderman” Owens, reeled in
