Congrats to DC for kicking off 2013 by reaching 10 million fans on Facebook on January 1st. In just 4 short years DC has become the very first action sports brand to hit the 10 million mark and is still going strong. To celebrate the 10 Million milestone, our DC athletes and family put together this video highlighting key moments in DC history shared on Facebook that helped the brand reach this monumental number. So, DC approached DJ’s who represent this attitude across every major European country. Starting in Germany, then the UK, brand ambassador DJ’s, who are local but think global, will tell their story and tell us what life and music means to them. With each DJ’s story being supported with print ads, a video portrait, online activities, community features, live gigs and other coverage tools, such as features on DC´s own lifestyle portal www.my.dclife.com. DC aims to create a prosperous and ’win-win’ relationship with these DJ’s for a long-lasting collaboration (such as tour presentation, deeper brand tie-ins etc.).

040 local rider Teun 'Tosti' Swaanen crashed really hard a few weeks ago, broke his jaw on three places, knocked out a tooth and loosened up some other teeth. He's already riding again and on Wednesday January the 9th we'll make it a special day for him. All the stuff which kept his jaw and teeth together will be removed and we'll make some different tosti's that day as tosti's are Teun's favourite food!

Ricardo Laguna is excited to announce that in 2013 The Ricardo Laguna Dirt Challenge is going to have 3 stops. The series begins in March with the "Thomas Hancock Legacy" stop one in Phoenix AZ, stop two will be at the 17th annual Extreme Thing Action Sports & Music Festival in Las Vegas, NV, and the series concludes with the final stop in Lake Havasu, AZ in Nov. Each contest features its own unique setting and attractions plus riders will be competing for $5,000 per stop and a custom billet aluminum trophy provided by Bill Hancock and Colorado Custom.

Stop one on March 2nd in Steve's recently rebuilt back yard is one more contest to add to his 3 year history of events.

Vans Europe proudly welcomes South African Bmx rider Greg Illingworth to the family. The 27 year old all-round shredder from Johannesburg already has a strong name in the international Bmx community and made a move to Newcastle, UK just last year to focus even more on his riding and other projects. Greg will join riders like Ben Hennon, Bruno Hoffmann, and Kevin Kalkoff in the European Bmx team and all of them are stoked to call Greg their team mate now.

Freegun Underwear has been working hard over the past few months to fine tune our BMX team so we can come out swinging in 2013. With the addition of a new team manager last August things have been non-stop behind the scenes at Freegun, and we can’t wait for the New Year with our BMX riders!

Scotty has been riding for 18 years, the last 10 as a Pro, and has reached the top level of the sport with six X-Games Medals, including three Golds, and consistent top finishes in Dew Tour events, including a Tour Championship in 2011.
