Only three more weeks to go: From July 13-15, 2012, Cologne will once again be the pilgrimage site for the international BMX scene. About 400 pros and amateurs from around the world will come to the Jugendpark at the Zoobrücke near Cologne-Müllheim, to show what they can do in the disciplines of Dirt, Park, Street, Flatland and Vert. Germany will provide the biggest team, 68 riders, at the BMX Freestyle World Championships, followed by Great Britain (38) and the motherland of BMX, the USA, with 30.
The German team will be led by
Markus Reuss of Wuppertal. The 19-year-old starts in the team of event sponsor Monster Energy and has big plans for this „home“ event.
„I am looking forward to the BMX weekend in Cologne. I will again see friends and riders who I haven't run into for a long time,“ said Markus Reuss, who will be at the start in the disciplines Dirt, Park and Street.
„Getting into the finals would be an absolute dream. With a good run, anything is possible. But the competition is really tough and you always need a bit of luck.“
