When a year starts it's hard to predict what will happen. Who will be on top form, who will get injured? When is bringing the new tricks and who will retire? 2015 is almost over and even when the BMX business isn't rather booming, still a whole lot happened this year. The contest schedule was full of jams and bigger events that took place all over the world. Once again we were fortunate enough to visit the UCI BMX SX World Cups and with the UCI World's and European Championships within an hour drive we visited more big races than we've done in the past years. 2016 will be the year that many athletes have worked towards to as the Olympics in Rio are on the schedule. 2016 will be the first year of UCI's involvement in freestyle with the FISE World Series being the official World Cup season. The IBMXFF also has a few things in the works so 2016 should be a busy one. But it's important the jams are happening and riders ride for the fun of it. The joy it gives to learn a new trick. The road trip

After two rounds of the FISE World Series, Daniel Sandoval (USA) and Logan Martin (AUS) are tied in the overall ranking. With one more round coming up in Langkawi, Malaysia it will be an interesting stop to see who will grab the overall. With 1000 points up for grabs for first place, even Mark Webb (GBR) and Drew Bezanson (CAN) can win the overall title. Both of them are tied for tenth place at the moment. After World Series stops in Montpellier, France and Chengdu-China, Mike Varga (CAN) sits in third postition. Daniel Wedemeijer (currently in 4th place) has to sit out the final stop in Langkawi due to a shoulder injury. That means Daniel Dhers (VEN), Alex Coleborn (GBR), Kevin Peraza (USA), Konstantin Andreev (RUS) and Jake Leiva (USA) have a good chance of moving up a spot in the 2015 overall ranking. Last year's FISE World Series winner Daniel Dhers had a big of a crash last weekend in Mexico but will do anything to get ready for the final big contest of the year. Make sure to follow the developments on FATBMX as the flight has been booked and we'll report from Malaysia the weekend of 18-20 December.
