When a year starts it's hard to predict what will happen. Who will be on top form, who will get injured? When is bringing the new tricks and who will retire? 2015 is almost over and even when the BMX business isn't rather booming, still a whole lot happened this year. The contest schedule was full of jams and bigger events that took place all over the world. Once again we were fortunate enough to visit the UCI BMX SX World Cups and with the UCI World's and European Championships within an hour drive we visited more big races than we've done in the past years. 2016 will be the year that many athletes have worked towards to as the Olympics in Rio are on the schedule. 2016 will be the first year of UCI's involvement in freestyle with the FISE World Series being the official World Cup season. The IBMXFF also has a few things in the works so 2016 should be a busy one. But it's important the jams are happening and riders ride for the fun of it. The joy it gives to learn a new trick. The road trip
you're taking to explore. The video you finish that you worked on for so long. Let's continue to have a good time, whatever suits you best. If competing isn't your thing, don't worry about it. If you want to take it to the next level, find the events that will work for you. Hit up a pump track for some fun and try to stay injury free. We've gathered some bmX-mas cards and wish you all the best from this side as well. Bring on 2016. Bart de Jong FATBMX
