Take the Forte Brothers, Robin Fenlon, Bas Keep and Jon Taylor and put them on the ramp at a car show and this is what you get. Raya Films made a ten minute movie of it and it shows pretty much what was going on; Crazy stupid cars with stereos that are way too loud. In the clip, the BMX-ers talk shit on the Kev's but it also shows some good riding. There's no huge crowd needed to fire up the session when the riders themselves are having fun and are stepping up their riding. The decent size spined mini gets treated with flairs, huge airs, 180's, hurricanes, rollback to tailwhips, 360-s and such leaving the passers by confused on what they just saw.

The MX GP just finished and here are the results and a bunch of pictures for those BMX-ers that care about motocross. It was actually a good race with no surprising winner in the MX 1 class (Everts) but an new winner in the MX2 class (Frenchy Christophe Pourcel). 31.000 people visited the race both days. The evening was full of drunk Germans in the beer-tent and we gave it a miss this time. I'm typing this up in the press room waiting for the biggest crowd to hit the road before starting the 6 hour drive back to Holland.  Back to work tomorrow. 

FATBMX is down in Teutschenthal for the unofficial FAT WHIP contest. In BMX we have the Tabletop and in Motocross they have the Whip. Perfectly performed, both tricks are the very best if you ask me, I have no problem watching a Vic Murphy tabletop and a Ronnie Renner whip all day long.

At the Karcher Grand Prix Motocross in Teutschenthal, Germany, the riders did have some time to mess about during practice. There were plenty of jumps to choose from to show their style. We managed to snap some shots and will leave it up to you which one you like best.

On April 30th Tony Hawk, Mike Vallely, Me, Bam, Ryan Dunn, and Carey Hart all took on the adventure of a lifetime. They began the 2006 Gumball 3000's race around the world in eight days. The car line-up went like this: Jeep Cherokee SRT-8 w/Viper engine: Tony Hawk, Mike Vallely, Rooftop,and Ryan Young. Bams Lamborgini: Bam Margera & Ryan Dunn. Carey Hart's Car was detained at customs in L.A. so he got a Porche Cayanne when he got to London. Following the mind blowing riding that was laid down at the Backyard Jam in Brighton last year and with so many talented amateur riders out there killing themselves at every opportunity, Seventies has decided to shake things up this year. 2006 will see the birth of a series of amateur events located around the country to help extract the finest amateurs to compete in the Backyard Jam.

Dan Hennig and Chris Boehm get a duo interview that starts on page 16. Also the Muenster jam gets a report. The No More Jokes tour takes you from Basel (Switzerland) to Rome (Italy) with 8 guys doing their thing hitting everything on their path. Rampenbau means something like building ramps. That's actually a good feature in any mag. Kids, find some wood, grab a hammer and start building. Maybe you need some extra tools to make something rideable... Tobias Herzfeld reports from the Australian BMX Games and Benn Pigot gets a 5 page interview. Zwanzig's Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n Roll poster with Kathi would have fit nicely in the FATBMX pin-up section. Berlin Marzahn hosted the ROOF JAM, ramps 'n shit you know. Braunschweig hosts a new hall that goes by the name of Walhalla. Zwanzig Zoll checked it out. The PopSession in Tallin gets a 6 page report as well. 7 pages Ralf Schiefer (interview) fill page 70-76 with some great pics. Product photos and info cover the next few pages and then it's time out for Zwanzig. 

We don't have the intention to put every video trailer online here at FATBMX but when Josh Suhre made us aware of the project he's working on in Ohio, we checked if we could run it on the site. The video is scheduled to be out this summer so that gives the Ohio crew some more time to do some outdoor riding. The footage they've collected so far is amazing.
