Olympians, national champions and the future stars of American BMX racing will headline the competition this weekend at the 2014 USA Cycling Elite BMX National Championships and the 2014 UCI North American Continental BMX Championships. Racing gets underway at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., on Saturday with the national championships and continues on Sunday for the continental championships. Both competitions begin at 11 a.m. Pacific time each day on the Beijing track at the Olympic Training Center, a replica of the supercross track used at the 2008 Olympic Games. Saturday’s national championship will feature the best American riders competing for a Stars-and-Stripes jersey, while Sunday’s racing will include top supercross BMXers from throughout North America vying for the gold medal along with valuable UCI points.
