These FAT Fridays are getting good when I don't know where to start. Slow days in BMX don't exist, at least not here. I'll just start typing away. The new issue of FreedomBMX came out and it states that the Rebel Jam is not happening this year. The organizers are calling it off in 2008 after three successful events at the Mellowpark in Berlin. But, the Rebel Jam is scheduled to be back in 2009 on a new location. The folks at the Mellowpark are still fighting to keep the park alive and you can enjoy the amazing park one more time at the Highway to Hill event (1 May) which might be the last one.

We visited a UCI BMX race last weekend. The racing is getting faster and faster thanks to all the national programs that are set up to get as many racers to the Olympics in Beijing this August. These top dawgs are full professionals and train for four hours every day. To see what it takes, read the interview with Dutch Olympic candidate Rob van den Wildenberg.

It was 12 years in the making for Superfly to finish up this DVD and well worth the wait. People who liked "Building the Underground,"  will like this one too. The trails section (East Coast this time) is insane and just looking at the jumps makes you want to go out and ride. Live For Today shows the true BMX lifestyle, put your time in (building the jumps), have killer sessions, enjoy the evenings together getting wasted. And if you have the opportunity to check out other spots, get in the car and simply drive. The riding is not limited to trails. There's some street/park too but the trails riders especially will dig this one.

The 2nd Annual Winter Splinter BMX Comp will take place on Saturday, March 1st at the Factory Skatepark in Newnan, Georgia.  Events:  -Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, Masters (30+), and Pro Park. -Amateur and Pro Vert. -Bunnyhop contest. -Red Bull High Air Contest (11 foot quarter). -Old School BMX Showcase.

The fastest BMX racers in the nation will head to Goodyear, Arizona on the weekend of January 25th-27th, 2008 for the NBL Coyote BMX Nationals! This marks the first time in more than a decade that the National Series has stopped in Arizona and this time Estrella Mountain BMX track, located in Goodyear, will host two National Events and the 8th UCI Continental Series race.

Profile racing have got a new commercial up on their site to introduce their new guy Greg Smee. Greg and Mark Mulville have some good sessions together in the following clip so you get an idea of what Greg is all about. Trails and street I'd say have heavy metal from the looks of it.

Man, they failed again. If your company is called Shitluck you are probably proud when things don't go the way they were planned. Leland took their veggie bus on tour and they actually put together enough clips to come up with a good DVD. Where are all the things that didn't work out? Probably hidden somewhere else. Hey Guys! I just thought would drop you a line and let you know that some of us Fly guys are on a trip right now in Australia. We decided to do a little trip to hang out for a longer summer. Dylan Smith, Kevin Kalkoff, David Quesada, Guiri and myself (Kevin Porter) have been here for about a week and a half. We are taking pictures and filming for a little video we are working on. Things are going really well, we saw some Kuala bears, rode so many parks already, and just finished riding a little street in Melbourne. 

Sebastian Pospischil got the 8th flatland cover of Freedom BMX magazine. At issue #79, that's a good 10% of all covers. For this one Sebastian and photographer Kay Clauberg took a quick trip to Mallorca to find some sun and shoot the photo. There is a 7-page interview with Pospischil inside so the trip was well justified. What else in # 79?
